• Roof consists of eight thin shell
structural units. Each unit - four
hyperbolic paraboloid shells
monolithically joined together along a
center line to form a v shaped cross
section.

• Each v-shaped unit is 12.4m wide,

30.7m long (20.2m cantilever plus
10.5m back span) and height- 7.6 m at
cantilever and 2.9 m at back.

• V-shaped unit supported by 3 inclined

columns- 2 at back and 1 at interior.

• Folds joined via keyed joint filled with

concrete grout which contain steel
weld tabs with prevent relative
translation between adjacent folds.
Scaffolding and the formwork reflecting the straight-line generators of
the hyperbolic paraboloid forms.
Doubly curved span made from concrete

These act as tie beams and hold the roof structure through tension
8 units joined together makes the v shaped units and the lower beams act as
tie beams that hold the roof structure
Region in tension
This forms a form active structure
Region in compression
System of girder beams balances large cantilevered hyperbolic roof. Spaced at 6.3 m at center,
girder beams transfer the loads of grandstand. Girder keeps stadium forces in compression.
