After perusal of Law No. 10 of 1966 regarding food control, regulation of its circulation
and methods of advertisement, and Law No. 3 of 1979 amending some provisions of Law
No. 10 of 1999 issued by the Minister of Health Decision No. 2 of 1999 regarding the
conditions and procedures for registering dietary supplements, licensing for their
circulation, methods of advertising, and Resolution No. 530 of 1979 regarding the
addition of special food products to the preparations indicated in Resolution No. 348 of
1979 and Resolution No. 416 of 1994 amending some provisions of Resolution No. 348

 Translation
No special dietary supplement is allowed to enter the Egyptian market except after the
customs administration makes sure that the period of validity of the product written on
the package continues. For ministerial decisions regulating this according to the nature of
the product upon the arrival of the letter to customs, it is not permitted to announce the
dietary supplement product in any of advertising means only after obtaining written
approval from the Nutrition Institute in accordance with Minister of Health
.decision no. 16 of 1994
