Smart Cruise Control (SCC) System Service Tips (2)

ㆍS ys te m Co n tro l 3) Stop control

1. SCC system mode operation
1) When start ignition, SCC system is in 'OFF MODE'.
2) When activate 'SCC ON' switch, SCC system goes to 'STANDBY MODE'.
3) When activate 'SET ' switch during driving, SCC system goes to
'CONTROL MODE' (Active SCC function).
4) When activate brake, SCC system goes to ' STANDBY MODE'
(Deactivate SCC function).
5) When pressed Headway switch (vehicle distance setting) more than 2
seconds, SCC system goes to ' STANDBY MODE'.
6) When pressed 'SET' switch during driving, SCC system goes to
'CONTROL MODE' (Active SCC function).
7) When activate brake, SCC system goes to ' STANDBY MODE'
(Deactivate SCC function).
8) When pressed Headway switch (vehicle distance setting) more than 2
seconds, SCC system goes to ' STANDBY MODE'.
If a vehicle ahead is stopped, SCC system controls vehicle to stop at a
certain distance (3~5m) behind the leading vehicle.
If a vehicle ahead starts to move within 3 seconds, SCC system controls
vehicle to start automatically. On the other hand, if vehicle stops over 3
seconds, vehicle will start move using accelerator pedal or resume
switch. And if vehicle keeping stops over 5 minutes, EPB is activated
while SCC system is deactivated.
4) Overtaking assist control
If left turn signal operates, SCC system sets target distance to level 1
regardless of system status display to assist acceleration for overtaking.
