The given line chart displays 4 types of freight shipment were road, water, rail and

pipeline in the UK during 1974 to 2002. The quantity is expressed in milion tones

Overall, the erratic trend came from road and rain transportations whereas,
water and pipeline were predictable trends

It can be seen that road delivery was always the highest which was around 70
milion tonnes in 1974 to approxiamately 100 milion in 2002. This figure increased
28 million tonnes during 28 years. In the third place, the rail was dramatically
decrease in the last 8 years, then there was steadily rise at 40, the figure has been
initial until 2002

By contrast, in the second place, water was noticably uplift for the first 8 years ,
reaching appoximate 60 milion tonnes in 1982 and this figure experienced a
slowr increase untill 1992, grandually fell to 56 milion tonnes in 1997, rocketed to
62 million tonnes in the following 4 years. In the last space, it could be seen that
pipeline had a pleateau development, in 1974 the figure around 10 milion tons ,
after that this mode of transport brought promising improvement until in
1994 which remained steadily above 20 million tones
