RESOURCE GEOLOGIST

We are currently looking for talented candidate for the position of Resource Geologist to join
our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate shall be involved in geological interpretation,
resource estimation, resource modeling, as well as mine planning activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are
maintained.
• Supports the Senior Resource Geologist in developing mineral resource and mineral
reserve block model estimates, including short term production models.
• Generates 3D interpretations in Datamine, Micromine and Leapfrog, to complete
geological and grade wireframes, block models and resource estimates for
underground and open pit planning activities.
• Uses sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of geological and
geophysical data to deliver meaningful models in collaboration with the project team.
• Employs geological database software to review and perform quality control checks
of drill hole and grade control data.
• Plan, design, and monitoring of diamond drilling to ensure ore body resource
estimates meet resource/reserve classifications in collaboration with the project team.
• Assists in the timely validation of internal resource estimates.
• Helps in preparation and control of run-of-mine stockpiles.
• Provides stope reconciliations, dilution estimates, grade forecasting and grade
blending.
• Participate with Geology, and Mining Operations in short and long-term mine planning.
• Assists in the timely completion of Technical Reports, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility
Study reports related to AMAK´s resources.
• Supports the development and training of local nationals by providing mentorship,
guidance, and coaching, leading to their growth and development.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.

• 5+ years’ experience in resource estimation techniques in coarse gold and base
metal operations.
• Knowledge of resource estimation techniques in underground and/or open pit
mining, highly desirable.
• Advanced user of 3D-modelling software such as Datamine, Micromine and
Leapfrog, considered an advantage.
• Proficient in the use of geological databases.
• Strong English communication skills (both oral and written).
