Retailing is a set of activities performed in selling the goods and services directly to the end users.
Retailing is a vital, potent and articulate economic institution in the distributive system. Retailer is
the last link in the long chain of distribution. Consumers benefit from retailing as retailers perform
marketing functions that make it possible for customers to have access to a broad variety of
products and services. Retailing also helps to create a place, time, and possession utilities. A
retailer's service also helps to enhance a product's image. Retailing has a tremendous impact on the
economy. It involves high annual sales and employment.

1. Artificial Intelligence in the Retail Industry

In nearly every one of the previous trends that have been discussed so far, artificial
intelligence has played a role in some fashion. Modern AR is powered by AI scene
analysis. However, AI can serve much more benefit in the retail industry than this. AI
can be used in inventory management and other kinds of analysis on consumer
behavior.

2. Voice Commerce

As artificial intelligence improves in 2022, so does natural language processing (NLP). Smart


assistants like Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri, and Bixby are becoming more and more advanced
in their voice recognition and responsiveness. Their ability to serve customers in the retail
industry has improved tremendously. There is a great deal of nuance to be explored with the

In today’s scenario basically every field of work requires some or the other
expert managerial skills to cope up with the changing business environment.
This is the foremost reason I want to pursue management education and that
too from a prestige insititution like Welingkar bhang bhosda which would
provide me with variety of exposure plus insdutrial exposure which will
definitely lead to increase in confidence and interpersonal skills. Also an MBA
qualification will help me decide my field of interest in the corporate world in
these 2 years.
