SCENE 1-INT - MAIN HOUSE LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON

Christian Broadsworth sits alone on the couch of his own

home, staring blankly at the floor and thinking to himself.
In the background, a radio silently plays the news about Mark
Broadsworth -- Christian's Brother -- and his recent
disappearance.

There then comes a close-up shot of Christian's face as he

picks up a bottle of alcohol from the floor, opening up the
bottle just to realise it was empty. He places the bottle
down.

The camera cuts to posters of Mark Broadsworth's recent

disappearance, including details of a recent robbery in a
jewel store. The posters are messily placed as if Christian
has no care for them. Besides, the posters are bottles of
alcohol. Christian picks up one of the bottles.

NEWS REPORTER (STATIC-LIKE)

The Auckland police station has
reported another missing person by the
name of Mark Broadsworth. The man was
described as having black hair, and
hazelnut eyes and was told to be
around the age of 26. Police have
begun investigation since yesterday
night but no traces of Broadsworth
have been found. If anyone has seen or
knows of Mr Broadsworth, please report
to the Auckland police station
immediately...

The camera cuts to the previous close-up, opening up his

bottle he just picked up. Before the radio could play any
further, a sudden loud knock could be heard from Christian's
front door, which stops him from drinking. Christian prepares
himself and walks towards the entrance of his front door. He
peers through a window to see who is outside.

A camera cuts to the man outside Christian's house; the

camera does not reveal his face. He checks his watch
impatiently waiting for someone to come outside.

FRANKLIN
Guess he's not here.

The man outside walks away from the front door. As soon as he
walks down the steps, the front door suddenly opens. Franklin
turns around and sees Christian by the entrance.

CHRISTIAN
Umm...May I help you?

The camera fades into black, revealing the title screen.

SCENE 2-EXT - FRONTYARD - AFTERNOON

The two start to converse outside the house about Mark and
his disappearance.

FRANKLIN
Good afternoon. My name is Franklin.
I'm an investigator looking at the
disappearance of Mark Broadsworth.

Upon hearing his brother's name, he starts to act more

desperate, wanting to cooperate with Franklin.

CHRISTIAN
My brother? You know where he is?

FRANKLIN
Hm, no, Not exactly. But, I am
assuming you are his younger brother,
Christian?

CHRISTIAN
Uhh...yes. That's me.

FRANKLIN
Well, since the police here have
decided to cancel to search, me and my
partner Angela made the choice to come
here to make sure nothing unfortunate
happened to Mark.

FRANKLIN
Now, would it be okay if we could ask
you some questions in your house?

CHRISTIAN
Yeah. Sure.

FRANKLIN
Alright. I'll introduce you to my
partner. After that, we'll start
asking some questions.

Franklin walks towards the parked car with Christian

following right behind him.

SCENE 2A-EXT - FRONTYARD - AFTERNOON

Franklin and Christian stop walking by the door handle.

Franklin looks inside the car window, and then quickly taps
it, alerting Angie inside the car. Shortly after, Angie opens
the car door from the inside and steps out, introducing
herself to Christian.

FRANKLIN
This is Angela. She'll help us find
your brother.

ANGIE
I'm Angela. You can call me Angie. You
must be Christian?

CHRISTIAN (SLOWLY NODDING)

Umm...yes...that's me.

ANGIE (SMIRKING)
Cool. We'll just get some information
to help you find where your brother
is. Shall we go?

FRANKLIN
Yep. Let's head inside guys.

The three walk away from the car and towards the house. The
camera cuts from Christian's front yard to the interrogating
room.

SCENE 3-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

The three enter the interrogating room.

FRANKLIN
Nice place you got here.

Franklin sits on one of the chairs already set up.

FRANKLIN
Come sit.

Angela puts her hand on the chair opposite to Franklin,

gesturing Christian to sit there, to which he does. Angela
stays behind him, putting her hand on the back of Christian's
chair.

FRANKLIN
Alright. I'll go straight to the
point. Tell us about your brother.
What was he like?

CHRISTIAN
Um... he was nice and will always care
for his family. He was a fast runner
at our school but was not the
brightest in school.

FRANKLIN
Do you have any idea what happened to
him?

CHRISTIAN
I don't know. He's done questionable
things. Maybe his past has caught up
to him.

As Christian speaks, Franklin taps his fingers impatiently on

the table.

FRANKLIN
Is that all?

Franklin sighs and faces down to the table in disappointment.

Franklin then suddenly looks furious.

SCENE 4-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

Franklin pulls out a pistol from his pocket, pointing it

towards Christian's face.

FRANKLIN (IRRITATED)
Alright, drop the act. Answer to me
what you know about Mark, now! Angie,
tie this boy's hands up!

Christian is visibly terrified with the sudden change of

Franklin. Angie starts to tie up Christian's hands onto the
chair he is sitting on.

FRANKLIN
Your brother was a Diamond thief! He
just escaped with a bag of diamonds
last night! Do you know anything about
that?

Christian, still in his panicking state, does not respond.

FRANKLIN
Answer to me now! Or else I'll pull
the trigger!

CHRISTIAN
I don't know! I never even knew he was
a diamond thief!

Franklin grunts, unable to get a good answer about Mark's

whereabouts from Christian. Angie tries to reason with him.

ANGIE
Franky calm down! If he dies, we will
never get to Mark!

FRANKLIN
(Sighs) Fine. I'll go outside for a
walk. When I come back here, I will
get Mark's whereabouts. Otherwise, I
will just have to shoot you.

Franklin leaves the room, slamming the door behind him shut.
Christian sighs with relief.

SCENE 5-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

Angie slowly approaches Christian and goes behind him. She

does not bother to whisper to Christian.

ANGIE
You know, I can get you out of here.
Franky's a bit of a psycho; he'll kill
you either way. Just tell me where
Mark is hiding, and you and I can go
find him and get the diamonds for
ourselves.

While Christian listens, the camera shows an extreme close-up

of Christian's eyes.

Before speaking any further, Angie perks up upon hearing

footsteps from where Franklin last was. Franklin appears with
a pistol in his hand.

FRANKLIN (LOOKING AT ANGIE)

I knew you would try to rat me out.

Franklin fires his pistol at Angie's chest. She drops down

immediately. Franklin then points his pistol to Christian

FRANKLIN (LOOKING AT CHRISTIAN)

Now...tell me where Mark is. I will
shoot you.

Christian still has no answer to the question.

FRANKLIN
Your brother tried to leave me behind
after we stole all those diamonds.
Tell me where he is now! If you're
going to continue playing games, I
will shoot you and get Mark to come
here.

As Franklin explains his past with Mark, the Christian's

front door opens from the outside. The camera focuses on the
man's walk, not revealing his face.

SCENE 6-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

Suddenly, a man with the face from the poster comes into the
interrogation room, a gun in his hand. The man was Mark
Broadsworth.

MARK
Sorry, Franklin.

Mark shoots Franklin in the head. Franklin drops dead.

MARK
Ok Angie, you may get up now.

Angie rises from the ground, revealing herself to still be

alive. Christian is shocked while Mark is not surprised.

CHRISTIAN
Angie?! How are you still alive?

SCENE 7-EXT- CAR- AFTERNOON

A flashback on Angie in the car is shown. She swaps

Franklin's real pistol with Angie's dummy pistol. Franklin
taps the car window, showing that she swapped it while
Franklin was introducing himself to Christian. While the
flashback plays, Angie reveals what happens to Christian.

ANGIE
Let's just say, I might have swapped
guns with a certain someone.

SCENE 8-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

Back to the present, Mark reveals why he came to Christian.

MARK
No worries Christian, she's with me.
Angie led me right here so that I
could tie up some loose ends with
Franky over there. I knew he would try
to get me back.

ANGIE
You got the diamonds, Marky?

Mark smiles, grabbing a pouch of diamonds he stole from his

recent theft.

SCENE 9-INT- INTERROGATING ROOM- AFTERNOON

Angie draws Franklin's pistol she swapped and fires it at

Mark. Mark's body drops with the diamonds in his lifeless
hands.

ANGIE
Sorry, Marky. Those diamonds are ours
now.

Angie grabs the diamonds from Mark's body and walks toward
Christian to unbind his tied hands. Christian laughs to
himself.

ANGIE
Nice act hon.

CHRISTIAN (SMUG)
Thanks.

Christian stands from his chair beside Angie. They slowly

walk towards Mark's body. Christian grabs the diamond from
his Mark's hands.

CHRISTIAN
Thank's for the diamonds Marky.

Christian stands with the diamonds in his hand.

ANGIE
Let's go?

Christian nods. The two exit the interrogation room. Before

leaving the house, Christian makes a witty comment.

CHRISTIAN
Typical Mark. Always wanting to make
drama out of things.

The pair exit the interrogation room, leaving Franklin and

Mark lying dead. The screen fades into black as they exit the
front.
