COURSE OBJECTIVES 1. To understand earth materials and their excavation including the issues involved
2. To determine and predict the Rock Mass quality

COURSE OUTCOMES

1. To be able to classify earth material in terms of physical and mechanical parameters

2. To determine the effect of forces on rock material and predict the failure criteria

3.To identify the parameters for developing rock mass quality as well as fragmentation

4. To design the support requirement of an excavation
