A. WRITING
In this practice examination you must write a monolog text with one of the following
genres and topics:
1. A descriptive text about tourism objects and historical building in Ponorogo.
2. A personal recount text about your own experience.

B. SPEAKING
1. The Practice Examination for SPEAKING will be about presenting a monologue
texts of any genre and anwering questions.
a. Find a monologue text with the genre: narrative, descriptive, recount,
analytical exposition, explanation, or news item in your book or other
resources.
b. Make a copy of your text. Insert the genre, social function, and structure of
your text.
c. Study and memorize the text to be presented at the examination day.
d. Your presentation should start with greeting; introducing yourself (name,
number of examination and present list, class; introducing the title of
your text); the content of the monologue text; and close it with leave-
taking.
e. Bind all the sheets of the monologue texts of your class. (Jilidlah semua
lembar teks monolog kelas kalian.) Submit your text on Tuesday, 1st
March 2022 at 07.30 p.m. at the latest.
2. Study the expressions of giving opinions, giving suggestions, and expressing
future plans, expressing reasons and explanation for the question and answer
session.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Make your own monologue text. Choose one of the genres and topics below.
a. A descriptive text about a tourist or historical building object in Ponorogo, or
b. A personal recount text about your own experience.
2. Type your text for 1 to 2 sheets on A 4 paper with 12 font size in Times New Romans
and 1,5 space.
3. You may insert illustrating pictures on your text. Insert the social function, structure
and language features of your text.
4. Insert your identity: name, number of examination and present list, and class at the
bottom left of your text.
5. Submit your composition on Tuesday, 1st March 2022 at 10.00 a.m at the latest. Bind
all the work of your class members.
