New Opportunities
Big Serve Big Serve will be held on Sunday, September 4th. Start brainstorming and praying with your Bible Study class about how you can be involved. Remember to register your project with the missions office! Cuffee Center Outreach Summer activities with our Cuffee friends are in the works. Follow us on Facebook or contact the missions office for upcoming dates when we will serve these children and their families. International Student Ministry Our friends at ODU have asked us to consider hosting international students at our events for July 4th this year. Would you set an extra place at your table for a student from far away? Laugh all Week Great opportunities are scheduled for Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach as we invite our ONE to enjoy an evening of family-oriented comedy and hear the good news of Jesus Christ! Medical Ministry We have an outreach scheduled for July 9 at the Union Mission. God is also opening additional doors of ministry on a regular basis for this ministry. Contact the Missions team for information or to be placed on their mailing list. North Carolina One day block Party This is only two hours away! Join our team who will have served there all week and share a great block party with the children of this rural area on July 22. North Suffolk Fellowship Fourth of July Bash and Swim Party We have been invited by the leadership of the Riverfront Swim Club in Harbourview to assist with their pool party on Monday, July 4. We will be able to tell people about our new Fellowship (church) that is being planted in their region. An open swim night for families to gather together and hear about the work of North Suffolk Fellowship is planned for July 29th. Stay tuned to Facebook and www.suffolkfellowship.com for more details. Ride the Tide! Our local light rail system is scheduled to begin service on August 19th with free rides through the 21st. Join our members on these days to prayer ride and pray that God will connect people with our church as we are the last stop on the route. There will also be a special challenge for people to ride on Sunday, August 21st and to continue serving as Tide Guides as requested by the city of Norfolk.

Ongoing Ministries
Bobbitt Apartments Young at Heart visits from 2:00-4:00 on the last Thursday of each month for a devotion and Bingo with the residents. Prize items are needed. This group has plans to start a Bible study soon. Construction/Baptist Builders Join us as we use our construction skills to live the mission. Crisis Pregnancy Center Call 410.9703 to learn about opportunities to serve with this ministry. Hampton Roads Regional Jail Opportunities to minister in English and Spanish exist with Chaplain Gene Sayre. For more information call 757.217.2613. Multi-housing ministry Opportunities currently exist with Cloverleaf and Gosnold Apartments. Pray for the new facility now open in Portsmouth! North Platte Canteen Join us in reaching out to our military through this consistent expression of Gods love to our servicemen. Project Comfort (sewing ministry) The ladies of Project Comfort continue to prepare and deliver projects for cancer patients, military, and other groups who need their gifts.
