PROGRAMME TITLE: BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (Hons.) (3YDC)

The broad objectives of the B.Com. (Hons.) programme are as follows:

OBJECTIVES:
B. Com.(Hons.) course is a unique course of the institute and in this course students are
studying subjects from diverse streams and this provides the students an edge over other
students of same discipline. This course is a good blend of subjects from Commerce,
Management, Computer, Taxation and Business Legislations. The main objectives of this
course are:

 To impart knowledge of commerce and allied subjects to the students so that they can
 get prepared for their higher studies
 To provide fundamental knowledge in Management, Computer and Business related
 Laws.
  To impart advanced knowledge on Accounting, Taxation and Finance.
 To develop abilities in students to pursue higher education in Chartered Accountancy,
Company Secretary, Cost and Work Accountancy, Chartered Finance Analyst type of
Professional Courses and Post Graduation in Management.

ELIGIBILITY:

12th in Commerce/ Science with 50% marks

AGE LIMIT: NO UPPER AGE LIMIT.

As decided by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya or state government.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

The admissions will be done as per merit in the entrance test conducted by the university.

SEATS: 60 (reservation as per state Govt. rules).

DURATION: Six Semesters (Three Years).

 Caution money (Refundable) of Rs. 4000/- will be charged additionally in the first
 semester.
  Alumni Fee of Rs. 500/- will be charged extra in the first semester.
 If a student repeats a paper(s) in a semester, an additional fee of Rs.500/- per paper
 shall be payable.
 For NRI/ FN/ PIO Candidates, a fee of US$ 3500 Per Annum shall be payable on yearly
basis. They will have to pay a refundable deposit of US$ 500 once at the time of
 admission.
 Hostel Fee and Central Library Fee will be extra.
