ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
CHILD-FRIENDLY SCHOOL
S.Y. 2021-2022

A Child-Friendly School is more that just a place of learning. It is an

institution that recognizes and respects the rights of children, not just their
right to be educated but also their rights to be healthy, be given the
opportunities to play and to leisure, be protected from harm and abuse and
to express their views freely.

A Child-Friendly School also instill in to children the responsibilities

that go with their rights, to respect the rights of others, respect diversity,
practice equality, resolve conflict and differences without resorting to
violence and harm to others.

A Child-Friendly School will take the lead in shaping a learning

environment that enable the children to learn skills and values and to allow
them to grow health and well-being, equip them with enough knowledge
and enable them to become responsible and productive member in the
community where they belong.

In line with this, Bobontugan National High School is an institution

where we value our learners much. The administration ensures that the
school is a safe place for everyone. We envisioned knowledge and focused
on process to uplift academic and technological excellence, a learning
resource that produces communication proficient, science conscious
technology oriented, sports minded, value oriented and God-fearing
individuals. The teachers apply different teaching methods and strategies
that are suited to the child’s learning abilities and capacity. They encourage
learners to respect and care for each other. Even though we are facing
pandemic still, teachers collaborate with parents and students through
cellphone and social media. They also conducted home visitation and
consultation to those students who rarely submit their modules and answer
sheets on the required schedule.

The school principal, Mr. Resurrecion C. Padon ensures that school

buildings and facilities are safe, clean and healthy. Water and sanitation
facilities are provided based on the standards of gender sensitivity and
equality. She always looks for the welfare of the children and that quality
education is delivered to each learner.

Guidance counseling and debriefing is also one of the services

provided to the students. They are encouraged to express feelings, share
their thoughts, help them cope and able to overcome stress and problems.
Parents involvement is encouraged in developing their children’s physical,
mental and psychological attributes. An anecdotal record has been made
on different cases.

Cutting classes and tardiness. Students observed for habitual cutting

classes are called for counseling. Parents were requested to see the
Guidance counselor for a short conference with regards to the behavior of
his/her child, formulate plans and monitor the child.

Peer conflict. Called for counseling and debriefing

Bullying. Called for counseling and debriefing. Conducted lecture and

symposium.

Disrespectful to authority. Referred to the prefect of discipline and

undergone counseling.

The school nurse also ensures the safety of the students. Health and
well-being of the students is one of her priorities, that the school is free
from any communicable diseases. Health lectures were conducted
regularly, especially this time of pandemic. Copies of vaccination cards of
the students were asked and kept.

The workforces of the school collaboratively work hand in hand to

achieve a very outstanding Child-Friendly School. The welfare of the
learners is our much concern, to produce competitive and efficient citizen.
