VISUAL ARTS (MEDIA).
Media refers to the material and tools used by an
artist,composer or designer to create a work of art.

In line with this, the medium entails different


manipulative processes for an artist to achieve their
desiredoutcome/s.
COMMON AND TRADITIONAL MEDIA
Clay– is a naturally
occurring sticky fine-
grained earth. It is
essentially rock dust
combined with water.

It can be molded into


different shapes.

Wood-used to create
sculpture, crafts, and
functional objects of art. An
extensive array of wood types
has been used in the creation
of artistic objects.
Wood finishes have ranged
from natural to painted
orstained.

Metal- is a solid, hard, opaque
material that has been used by
sculptors since ancient times.
