Magnetic circuit : UNIT-I Revision of terms - M.M.F, magnetic force, permeability, hysteresis, reluctance, leakage -- Factor etc., Comparison between a magnetic and an electrical circuit. Electromagnetic induction : UNIT-II State Faraday’s laws, Dynamically and statically induced emf, definition and equations of -- Self & mutual inductance, hysteresis loop and hysteresis loss. Capacitance : UNIT-III -- Definitions - capacitance, relative permittivity, Capacitors in series and parallel. A.C fundamentals : Define cycle, frequency, periodic time, amplitude, angular velocity or frequency with reference to UNIT-IV alternating emf and current, Definition and derivation by analytical method of R.M.S value, -- average value, form factor and peak factor, Vector representation of an alternating emf and current. Mathematical representation of an alternating emf and current A.C circuits : UNIT-V A.C through pure resistors, .inductors and capacitors. A.C through R-L-C series and R-L-C series -- and parallel circuits, power in A.C circuits, definition of power factor.
