Introduction

We have two design sectional profiles concerned with BH-1 and BH-2 of SoilInvestigation Reports and existing site
conditions.

Based on the data provided by Soil Investigation Report, stability of the existing sectional profiles of soil mass will be
checked. Even if the existing sectional profiles of soil mass are stable under gravity load and expected seismic, it will be
needed to provide the Gabion Retainning Wall or Terramesh Sysytem Retaining Wall for protection of coastal erosion.
And installation of Renomatress on the sloping surface of sectional profiles will be needed to protect the erosion due to
surface runoff.

Conclusion
As we have expected, the sectional profiles of soil mass concerning with BH-1 data nd BH-2 data are stable under
Gravity Load only and combination of Gravity Load and Seismic Load.
But it has been found on site that some parts of the soil mass is collapsed.
The root causes of collapsing soil mass are
- erosion of tide waves up to 15ft height of soil amss from the base,
- erosion of surface runoff under havy rain along the sloping face of the soil mass.

Coastal erosion effected height of 15ft will be retained by 5m height of PVC coated Gabion Wall. Surface runoff
erosion effected sloping length will be protected by 300mm thick PVC coated RenoMatress.
