GUIDE QUESTIONS:
1. What do you think is the different between the two stitches?
2. Which of the two stitches is the best stitch to be used in sewing sleeping
garments? why?
3. Why it is important to used back stitch rather than running stitch?

DIRECTIONS: Read and understand the statements carefully. Arrange the
procedure in sewing and assembling sleeping garment pajama by writing
numbers 1 – 10.(group activity)
DEVELOPMEN
T ____ 1. Fold and sew the hemline of each leg.
____ 2. Sew the space on the waistline where you inserted the garter. ____ 3.
Insert the left leg inside the right leg, join the crotch and sew on the right side.
____ 4. At the wrong side, insert one leg of the pajama into the other leg and
sew the crotch.
____ 5. Insert the garter in the space you leave.
____ 6. Join and sew the ends of the garter together using back stitch.
____ 7. Fold the waistline twice and sew.
____ 8. Sew the inseam of the pajama on the right side.
____ 9. Sew the inseam of the pajama on the wrong side.
____ 10. Reverse the one leg of pajama showing the right side and one at
wrong side

WHAT I CAN DO?


IDENTIFY REMIDIES FOR THE FOLLOWING SITUATION:
ENGAGEMENT 1. Skipped stitches:
1. Failure of hook or looper and needle to enter the loop at the correct time;
Remedies: Examine the setting and timing between needle and hook or lopper.
2. Irregular thread tension on the upper or lower loop.
Remedies: The tension of the thread should be adjusted.
3. Notice after pressing an open seam.
Remedies: re –stitch the open seam using back stitch.
