HOLIDAY HOMEWORK – 2022

Prepare the following on individual color A4 size sheets and file them for the journal
A. PROJECT WORK:
Market survey of any five processed food (Aim, introduction, checklist to
check/evaluate the product, conclusion)
OR
Planning any five different types of messages for nutrition / health and life skills,
to five different target groups.

B. UNIT 2: Nutrition Food Science and Technology: (Write AIM for all the assignment)
1. To modify a normal diet to a soft diet for an elderly person(aim, RDA, points
considered, meal modification, reasons for modification)
2. To develop and prepare a supplementary food for nutrition program(Aim, RDA for
preschool kids, a paragraph on importance of nutrition, a recipe of supplementary
food, preparation and display pictures)
3. To plan a menu for mid day meal scheme or school canteen.(Aim, introduction about
importance of school mid day meals, plan a table of 5 day meal of school canteen,
sample recipe of any one days meal)
4. To design, prepare and evaluate a processed food product(aim, recipe of jam/pickle,
prepare a food label with a standardized mark, brand name, etc)
5. To conduct qualitative test for food adulteration in: pure ghee, tea leaves, whole
black pepper, turmeric powder, milk, asafoetida.(Aim, and make a table of product,
adulterant and test)
C. UNIT 3: Human Development and Family Studies:
1.To prepare any one educational toy for children (age appropriate -4 to 6 years) using
locally available and indigenous material. (Aim, write about the toy, stick pictures)

D. UNIT 4: FABRIC AND APPAREL

1. To Prepare a sample of applied textile design techniques; a) tie and dye/batik and
b) block printing. (Aim, 15x15 cm white cloth sample, write a brief about the
method used.
2. Remove different types of stains from white cotton cloth –Ball pen, curry, grease, ink,
lipstick, tea and coffee.(Aim, table of stain removal)
Stick on left side a sample white cloth(a small square piece, on the right side also
stick a same size white cloth- in the center write the name of the reagent used to
remove stain)

E. UNIT 5: RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

1. To evaluate any one advertisement published in newspaper for any job position(Aim,
checklist page 312 of NCERT Text book)
2. To develop a leaflet or pamphlet for consumer education and protection on any one
of the following : CPA/Consumer rights/Consumer awareness(any one topic)
F. UNIT 6: COMMUNICATION AND EXTENSION:
Analysis and discussion of any one print/radio/electronic media with reference to focus,
presentation, technology and cost.(page 417 NCERT book)
