Assemblymen Customer Guide For In-Ground Basketball Hoop Installations
Assemblymen Customer Guide For In-Ground Basketball Hoop Installations
GENERAL DISCLAIMERS:
★ Two appointments: Each installation covers two appointments–one to pour the concrete
base and set the anchoring kit, the other to build the hoop atop that base. Depending on
the circumstances, a small fee may apply for any additional trip(s).
★ Wait time: There is a 3-5 day wait in-between the two appointments, which is the time
the concrete needs to “cure” properly. For an extra cost, we can use special, fast-setting
concrete for a one-day turnaround.
★ Front yard: We assume all installations take place in your front yard next to the driveway.
If your hoop is going somewhere else, especially the back yard, please let us know in
advance as this may affect the logistics and therefore the cost of your installation.
★ Obstructions: Any obstructions within 5 feet of the dig site (trees, poles, bushes, fences
etc.), excessive roots underground, the water table and other factors outside of our
control may alter the scope, cost and/or feasibility of an installation.
★ Irrigation lines: 8-1-1 does not mark irrigation lines. If we encounter an irrigation line
during your installation, depending on the circumstances, we may be able to work
around it. If we can’t work around the line, we can break it and finish the install, leaving
you to get the line rerouted by landscapers afterwards. Alternatively, we could pause the
installation, allowing you to get the line rerouted first, and then come back to finish the
base (this usually widens the hole, requires more concrete, and increases the cost,
however).
★ When Payment is Due: Payment balance is due at the conclusion of the installation. You
can pay your technicians directly with a check made out to “Assemblymen,” card, cash,
Venmo or CashApp before they leave your home.
