Thank you for choosing Assemblymen!

We look forward to installing your in-ground basketball hoop!

Here’s what you need to do to prepare:

1. Get FREE Utility Markings

Dial “8-1-1” or visit “sunshine811.com” to
start a ticket. This is a free statewide
service. It usually takes 2-3 business
days for all utility companies to mark their
lines on your property. Please schedule
this service well in advance of your
Assemblymen appointment. The flags
and markings on your property will last at
least one week. Different colored flags
and markings indicate different types of
utility lines as pictured below. If any lines
are near the installation site, please
contact us in advance (text pictures to
904-416-0874) so we can discuss options
prior to the scheduled appointment.
2. Have a Plan for the Dirt
Digging produces more dirt than you may
think! We dig by hand and we put the dirt
in contractor bags to leave out on the
curb for your local yard waste pickup. The
amount of dirt and number of contractor
bags used will depend on the specs of
your hoop and the nature of your
landscaping. Generally, digging for hoops
produces 20-40 contractor bags that
weigh no more than 25-35 pounds each.
If you have a different dirt removal
solution, or if you want us to haul away
the bags of dirt for an additional cost,
please contact us in advance (you can
call or text 904-416-0874) so we can be
prepared.

3. Have A Water Hose and

Power Outlet
We will supply the concrete mix but we
need you to supply the water. Please
have a water hose that stretches to
the installation area. Please also have
a power outlet within 50 feet of the
installation area. We will need that
power source for the concrete mixer.

GENERAL DISCLAIMERS:
★ Two appointments: Each installation covers two appointments–one to pour the concrete
base and set the anchoring kit, the other to build the hoop atop that base. Depending on
the circumstances, a small fee may apply for any additional trip(s).
★ Wait time: There is a 3-5 day wait in-between the two appointments, which is the time
the concrete needs to “cure” properly. For an extra cost, we can use special, fast-setting
concrete for a one-day turnaround.
★ Front yard: We assume all installations take place in your front yard next to the driveway.
If your hoop is going somewhere else, especially the back yard, please let us know in
advance as this may affect the logistics and therefore the cost of your installation.
★ Obstructions: Any obstructions within 5 feet of the dig site (trees, poles, bushes, fences
etc.), excessive roots underground, the water table and other factors outside of our
control may alter the scope, cost and/or feasibility of an installation.
★ Irrigation lines: 8-1-1 does not mark irrigation lines. If we encounter an irrigation line
during your installation, depending on the circumstances, we may be able to work
around it. If we can’t work around the line, we can break it and finish the install, leaving
you to get the line rerouted by landscapers afterwards. Alternatively, we could pause the
installation, allowing you to get the line rerouted first, and then come back to finish the
base (this usually widens the hole, requires more concrete, and increases the cost,
however).
★ When Payment is Due: Payment balance is due at the conclusion of the installation. You
can pay your technicians directly with a check made out to “Assemblymen,” card, cash,
Venmo or CashApp before they leave your home.
