OUR STORY

Rooted in Nairobi and inspired by full

moon nights on the coast of Lamu.
MOOD was founded by two dear friends
who bonded over a love for art,
conservation, and equity. We designed
the pieces initially as accessories for our
homes, echoed in our tagline, jewelry
for your ceiling.

We primarily work with sisal, a fibre

introduced to Kenya in the 1930s, and
especially valued for its strength,
durability, and ability to stretch. We
source this raw material from a talented
group of rope makers located to the East
of Nairobi.
