I. Title: ADPA! SUMGEP KAYO!

II. Proponent: Irene K. Biag
School: Kias Elementary School
Purok 7, Kias baguio City
School Year 2021-2022

III. Innovation Description

Adpa! Sumgep kayo is a program that aims to provide a critical look at

existing data for enrolment and nonenrolment; eliminate negative attitudes towards
school which leads to disruptive behavior, poor attendance, low academic
performance and the decision to drop out leading to not completing the basic
education which are quite different in their source, but similar in their outcome.
Through the regular monitoring of learner’s progress/ attendance; and conduct of
significant activities, the project believes that these learners will continue their
education, do well in their studies and complete Basic Education.

IV. Rationale:

“A No Filipino Child Left Behind Act of 2010” is an act ensuring the full
realization of the constitutional right of all citizens to quality education ordaining for
the purpose.
The mission of the Department of Education (DepEd) is “to protect and promote the
right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based and complete basic
education”. One of the DepEd’s major vehicles in carrying out this mission is the K-12
program where no child should be left behind in terms of education.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made everything risky. People are forced to
stay indoors and going outside is prohibited but despite being unable to go to school,
learning shall never be hindered. During this time of pandemic, the Department of
Education (DepEd) has decided to do blended learning. Teachers and students can
interact using online platforms but there are challenges that come with it. Some
families cannot afford WIFI or gadgets, living the children unable to attend online
classes. Providing academic support to the children will be difficult for some parents.

To address the above problems, the proponent wants to contribute to the

effort of the Department of Education in encouraging learners to attend the blended
learning through modular, online classes, and call and text support. Ensures that
every learner can be able to attend classes with the support of teachers, parents, and
other stakeholders.
V. Pre-Implementation

A. Preparatory Mechanism

The proponent will meet the teachers, parents, and stakeholders to discuss with
them about the plan of the proponent to innovate the process in conducting the
“Paadal ken Ambit ken Ambot” then ask permission from the school head about the
conduct of the innovation.
