PROGRAM INNOVATION PROPOSAL

I. Title: KUDOS (Kesians Unveiling Dreams of Silence)

School Year 2019-2020

III. Innovation Description

KUDOS program is a reward and merit mechanism of Kias ES which incorporate the
Equal Opportunity Principle (EOP). The program aims to encourage, recognize, and
reward employees, individually or in groups, for their suggestions, innovative ideas,
inventions, discoveries, superior accomplishments, heroic deeds, exemplary behavior,
extraordinary acts or services in the public interest and other personal efforts
contributing to efficiency, economy and improvement in school operations which lead to
organizational productivity.

The program will provide non-monetary awards and incentives to recognize,


acknowledge and reward productive, creative innovative and ethical behavior of
teachers through formal or informal modes.

The program will recognize, and reward accomplishments and innovations


periodically or as need arises.

IV. Rationale:

Great teachers deserve great rewards, and nothing is more effective than praise and
recognition in the form of award. Awards and recognitions are a motivational tool that keeps
teachers going. Besides being a mark of excellence, awards help boosts teachers’ morale
and help them aim and achieve bigger accomplishments. It encourages teachers to give
their best, express empowerment and take thoughtful risks. These are reasons why
KUDOS program of the school was conceptualizing to strengthen the implementation of
DepED Order No. 9, s. 2002 entitled Establishing the Program on Awards and Incentives
for Service Excellence (PRAISE) in the Department of Education, all regional directors and
schools’ superintendents are enjoined to organize their respective PRAISE committees and
institute the program in their respective offices.

Most of the achievements and innovation of teachers are being kept by themselves and
they are ashamed to share because they think it is not worth. Those achievement and
innovations will not be utilized to its best since only the teacher who develop or innovate
knows about it. Through the KUDOS program teachers’ achievement and innovations can
now be recognize and be utilized by everyone.

The plans and activities of KUDOS program will be adjusted, updated, enhanced and
sustain depending on the result of evaluation and suggestions and needs of teachers.
