Chart 1

The given chart shows a comparison between the utilization of

three sorts of junk food consumed by Australian adolescents
over the span of 25 year from 1975 to 2000.

Generally, pizza and hamburgers consumption had a dramatic

rise, whereas fish and chips had an opposite trend.

Obviously, there was a remarkable increase of pizza and hamburgers. Being considered the fastest growth
rate between 1975 and 1985, the ratio of hamburgers rose exponentially from under 20 to above 80 times,
followed by a steady ascent until 1995. A same trend was seen in the proportion of pizza throughout the
20-year period. However, at the end of the century, both the consumption rates remained stably at 100
times for hamburgers and more than 80 times for pizza.

On the other hand, the quantity of fish and chips reached the highest point of 100 times per year in 1975.
After that, it had significant changes in the period from 1975 to 1985 before standing approximately 95
times and declined sharply at the end to 40 times in the year 2000.

Chart 2
The line graph compares the monthly profitability of
four cafes in New York during the prior year, including
The Tea Room, Internet Express, Wi-fi Café and Café
Cool.

Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the

income of The Tea Room significantly went downwards,
whereas the earnings of Internet Express, Wi-fi Café and
Café Cool witnessed considerable upwards trends.

As the graph illustrates, started with the top income of almost 160k dollars, The Tea Room consistently
vacillated throughout the following months, and then plummeted more than half in the last quarter at
under 60k dollars. The highest profit that can be seen was nearly 180k dollars in May. Those substantial
fluctuations caused a tremendous gap at approximately 130k dollars, and consequently changed The Tea
Room rank to the bottom..

In contrast, the other three rivals did not meet the same trend. The common tendency happens to Internet
Express, Wi-fi Café and Café Cool with some alterations until October, prior to upwards movements by
varying degrees. Looking at details, Wi-fi Café has an outstanding growth with the last-quarter earning at
nearly 200k dollars, higher than any other café, whereas Internet Express increased slightly during the
year with the gap at around 40k dollars. Moreover, while Café Cool oscillated the most with noticeable
action, Internet Express only had some slight shifts, and especially remained relatively stable in the
second quarter.
