Using the TEMPORARY CLASS LIST, arrange them according to their TEMPORARY class numbers. Then have
them line – up, MALE and FEMALE. You may arrange them in ALTERNATING COLUMNS (boys in the first
column, girls in the second etc.) in their seats as well. This will help us teachers memorize their names
(using the class list); we may deviate to another seating arrangement as familiarity with them increases.
B. HAND SIGNALS:

and/or shout.
1. NUMBER ONE (pointer finger up) – Get into line formation, straighten the line.
2. NUMBER TWO (pointer and middle fingers up) – Settle down, silence and tidy up.
V. INTRODUCTION ACTIVITIES
A. INFORMATION
Have them write pertinent information about themselves on a pad paper:
ADDRESS
CONTACT NUMBER
LAST SCHOOL ATTENDED
LRN
NAME OF MOTHER
OCCUPATION
CONTACT NUMBER
NAME OF FATHER
OCCUPATION
CONTACT NUMBER
At the back portion, have them reflect on the following questions (in English or Filipino) You may start off
the introduction by answering these questions yourself so that the students may have a guide on how to
answer them.
- If I were to ask your classmates and teachers last year, what impression would they tell me about you?
- State one of your biggest regrets from the past school year.
- State three goals that you feel you need to accomplish this year to have no regrets.
- What are your greatest strengths (3) as a person / student? What about your worst weakness (3)?
- What can your class adviser and teacher expect from you as a member of the class?
- 2 years from now, after SHS graduation, how do you want to be remembered by your classmates and
teachers?
- State 2 things (experiences, circumstances and/or attitude) that your classmates, teachers, and class
adviser should know about you so that they may understand you better as a member of the class.
- FREE QUESTION: ask anything that you feel should be addressed by your adviser.
AFTERWARDS, in small groups with 4 to 5 members, you can have them choose any two questions to share as a form of
introduction. Challenge them to remember at least one person’s introduction. When the time is up, call a few students to
share a classmate that they can introduce.
B. TEAM BUILDING
1. Assign GROUPINGS (Big groups – divide the class into 5; Small groups – divide the class into 8 or 9).
These will help subject teachers during group activities. Groupings may be subject to change every
quarter and may be useful for classroom management, especially with CLEANING.
2. Design at least 2 games that each group can compete against. Make sure these games can HIGHLIGHT
leadership qualities, work ethic, camaraderie, and participation. You can use this mark out students
who can either stand out as leaders or may be problematic given their inability to participate well.
These impressions may be useful, moving forward.
