IV. PROCEDURES

A. Engage
Ask your students random questions:
 What do you see around you?
 What objects do you have right now?
 Do you believe we all matter?
Then, let your class explore outside the classroom but not too far with the
accompany of the teacher. Let your students identify things they see around and
ask the characteristics of the object they identify outside.
 What makes up an object?

B. Explore
The class will be divided into three. Then, each group will have to investigate
their given object. Lastly, they will explain their observation in the class.
C. Explain
It is anything that takes up space and can be weighed. It has volume and mass.

 The teacher will present the discussion of matter and three types of matter;
solid, liquid, gas

D. Elaborate

Ask your students;


 What is matter?
 What are the 3 types of matter?
 What will happen if we throw a solid object? Does it change its shape? Yes, or
No? If yes, why? If No, why?
 The juice from the pitcher was transferred to a small bottle and the shape of the
juice change into the small bottle. What causes the juice to change its shape?
 The object moves when we blow it through our what? Why does it happen?

E. Evaluate

Instruction: Group the objects from the box based on their characteristics.
