Owner/Manager

 Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations


 Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service
to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training
opportunities.
 Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
 Monitoring store activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
 Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and
strategies.
 Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives.
 Maintaining a clean, tidy business, ensuring that signage and displays are attractive.
 Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties.
 Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
 Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.

Secretary/Assistant

 Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls


 Schedule appointments and update event calendars
 Arrange staff meetings
 Handle incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
 Draft routine memos, billing, or other reports
 Edit company correspondence and ensure document accuracy
 Maintain databases and filing systems, whether electronic or paper
 Perform basic bookkeeping

Technical Staff

 Assess and develop new advanced technologies by translating strategic business goals into final
design.
 Lead small groups or teams for effective project management and delivery.
 Maintain complex technologies by understanding system requirements.
 Strategize technical guidance to team.
 Perform technical trials.
 Update on industry trends and technology.
 Maintain and improve current Web applications and migration to unified technology platform.
 Display familiarity with clients side web technologies.
 Create advanced electro-optical system concepts to meet customer needs in remote sensing

Production Staff

 Following health and safety standards.


 Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
 Assembling products and parts.
 Following production guidelines and specifications.
 Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.
 Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
 Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.
 Working on the production line and meeting production targets.
 Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.

Marketing Staff

 Acts as the highest-ranking employee in the marketing department


 Assists in the interviewing, hiring, and training of key marketing staff members, including
marketing managers and consultants
 Research and analyses market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other
information that affects marketing strategies
 Uses research findings and analysis to provide direction to marketing managers regarding
upcoming marketing projects, new products or services, and overall strategy
 Identifies areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and
promotional activities
 Approves all marketing campaigns and plans before they are implemented
 Weighs in on important decisions involving product advertising, packaging, media channels, and
branding
 Maintains the department's budget and ensures all marketing activities are cost-effective
 Works with other company officers to establish budgets and marketing objectives
 Monitors marketing and sales performance and adjusts strategies as needed
 Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures

Cashier

 Handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers


 Scan goods and collect payments
 Ensure pricing is correct
 Issue change, receipts, refunds, or tickets
 Redeem stamps and coupons
 Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are
correct and that there is adequate change
 Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
 Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
 Bag items carefully
 Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment
 Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
 Keep reports of transactions
 Process returns and check to see if items are damaged
 Answer customers’ questions and get a manager if answer doesn’t solve the issue
 Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
