Frost Bow

Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement)

This ornate longbow was seemingly carved out of a magic


block of ice.
Whenever you hit a creature with the Frost Bow,
the creature gains a Frost Mark. Frost Marks last until the
end of your next turn. If you hit a creature that already has a
Frost Mark, all of its Frost Marks have the same duration as
the newest one.
A creature gains the following effects,
depending on the number of Frost Marks it has accumulated.
1 Frost Mark: The creature takes 3d8 cold damage.
2 Frost Marks: The creature’s speed is halved.
3 Frost Marks: The creature is restrained for 1 minute. It
may use an action on its turn to attempt a DC 15 Strength
(Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If it succeeds, it
is no longer restrained, loses all of its Frost Marks, and
cannot gain any more Frost Marks for the next 24 hours.
