2- If A and B are two mutually exclusive events and 𝑃(𝐴) = 0.2,

4- If the probabilities of a customer to buy a laptop is 0.6 and to


buy a PC is 0.5 and to buy both is 0.3. What are the probabilities
of:
a) The customer buys at least one device.
b) The customer buys in at most one device.
c) The customer buys a laptop and don’t buy a PC.
d) The customer buys laptop such that he buys PC.
e) The customer doesn’t buy PC such that he buys laptop.

5- If the probabilities of a married couple to visit Thailand is


0.8 and to visit Malesia is 0.6 and to visit both pf them is 0.25.
What are the probabilities of:
a) The couple visits at least one country.
d) The couple visits Thailand such that visiting Malesia.
e) The couple visits Malesia such that visiting Thailand.

6- A family is going to spend a journey in one of three cities. If


the probability going to city A is 0.6, city B is 0.3 and C 0.1. The
probabilities of raining are 0.6, 0.7 and 0.5 if the cities are A, B
and C, respectively. Find the probabilities of:
a) spending a raining journey.
b) spending a non-raining journey.
c) spending a journey in city A such that it’s raining.
d) spending a journey in city B such that it’s not raining.

7- A factory with three production lines, A-B-C, producing 40%,


35% and 25% of the total production, respectively. The
probabilities of producing good products are 95%, 90% and 97%
if the lines are A, B and C, respectively. Find the probabilities of:
a) selecting a good product.
b) selecting a bad product.
c) selecting a product form line A such that it’s good.
d) selecting a product from line C such that it’s bad.

8- Three medical labs (A-B-C) are responsible for testing samples


for a company by percentages 40%, 50% and 10%, respectively.
The probabilities of getting false results are 2%, 4% and 5% if
the labs are A, B and C, respectively. Find the probabilities of:
a) getting False results.
b) getting True results.
c) getting a result from lab A such that it’s False.
d) getting a result from lab B such that it’s True.
