2. The teacher checks learner’s work.

D. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Within the period of class discussion, 85% of the students should be able to;
a. define Research Objectives through a class participation;
b. compare and contrast the concepts presented in each Research Objective
through a class discussion;
c. construct Research Objectives through a paper- pencil test.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

TOPIC : RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
REFERENCES : Practical Research I Book pages25-28

(Wearing of face mask all the time, social distancing, proper waste segregation
and hand sanitizing after touching to classmates or things inside the classroom)
 Indicator 4- Establish safe and secure learning environments to enhance learning
through the consistent implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures.

a.5. Recapitulation of the Previous Discussion

a.6. MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITY

“GUESS ME NOW ACTIVITY”

Direction: The teacher will divide the class into three groups. Each group will be given a set
of words. Then, the teacher will be reading a set of questions that the students will have to guess.
The answers are found on the given set of words. And the answers must be posted on the board.
The group with the most answered items correctly will be the winner. And there will be 10 points for
each correct answer.
Time Allotment: 5 minutes
Questions Answers
1. Ana is currently doing her investigatory project for their Science Class. Her Objective
project identifies the significant relationship between using lemongrass as an
insect repellent. Hence, her main _______ is to know if lemongrass can be a
good insect repellent.
2. Butter is for bread as jalousies are for the window. Hence, this means that Relationship
there is a significant ____________ on the both variables.
3. In Mathematics, the variables x and y are being solved to find their value. Indicators
Hence, just like in research, x and y served as the __________ of the study.

4. In Child and Development Psychology, a child behaves depending on the Domains

different factors. It could either be environmental, physical, physiological or
tantrums. Therefore, these __________ can be significant on how they react in
a certain context or situation.
5. In thesis, in order for a researcher to identify the extent of a certain indicator, Level
the _______ is being tested through standardized or researcher- made tests.

 Indicator 5- Maintain learning environments that promote fairness, respect and care
to encourage learning.

B. LESSON PROPER
B.1 ACTIVITY
From the activity, lead the students into the lesson of the day.

Guide questions during the discussion;

1. What do you mean by Research Objective?
( Unsa ang imong tumong sa pag panukiduki?)
( Ano ang iyong layunin sa iyong pagsasaliksik?)
2. What does Research Objective contain?
(Unsa ang sulod sa tumong panukiduki?)
( Ano ang layuning laman ng iyong pagsasaliksik?)
 Indicator 1- Apply knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching
areas. (The learners may answer and site an example from other field or area such
as Mathematics, Science, English, Philippine History, etc. as their response to
question #1 & #2.)
 Indicator 2- Display proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino and English to
facilitate teaching and learning.
 Indicator 3- Use effective verbal and non-verbal classroom communication
strategies to support learner understanding, participation, engagement and
achievement.
The teacher will deepen the discussion by providing an example.
 Indicator 1- Apply knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching
areas. (The teacher will use and relate the “Scientific Method” in Science approach,
“Problem Solving steps” in Mathematical approach, and “Journal writing strategies” in
English approach as examples to expand the learners’ knowledge & understanding
about crafting a good “Research Objectives”.
After the discussion, group the students into three and let them perform the task.
Direction: The class will be divided into three, each group shall be given an activity sheet
that must be completed. Then, they will choose one rapporteur to present their output in class.
Time Allotment:8 minutes

B.2 ANALYSIS (Interactive Instruction: Whole Class Discussion)

 What have you considered in the completion of each research objective?
 In the present time of COVID- 19 pandemic where there is limited access to research,
how do you think crafting research objectives might be challenged?
 Indicator 7 – Apply a range of successful strategies that maintain learning
environment that motivate learners to work productively by assuming
responsibility for their own learning.

B.3 ABSTRACTION
1. Are there any similarities in each Research Objective? What are those?
2. Is there any dissimilarity in each Research Objective? What are those?
 Indicator 1 - Apply knowledge of content within and across curriculum
teaching areas. (The learners may answer and site an example from other field or
area such as Mathematics, Science, English, Philippine History, etc. as their
response to question #1 & #2.)

B.4 APPLICATION
Direction: For Cooperative Learning, the students will be grouped into three. They will
decide on the performance task (jingle, dance, spoken word poetry) they can use Mandaya
language (Since there are students who are members of Mandaya Community). The
students will brainstorm in identifying the significance of Research Objectives in doing a
research paper then, and a group presentation shall be showcased in class.
Time allotment: 15 minutes
Group tasks:
 Jingle
 Dance
 Spoken Word Poetry
Rubrics;
 Content  50%
 Creativity  25%
 Liveliness & Enthusiasm  25%
100%
 Indicator 6 -Maintain learning environments that nurture and inspire learners to
participate, cooperate and collaborate in continued learning.
 Indicator 7 - Apply a range of successful strategies that maintain learning
environment that motivate learners to work productively by assuming responsibility
for their own learning.
 Indicator 8 -Design adapt and implement teaching strategies that are responsive to
learners with disabilities, giftedness and talents.
 Indicator 9 – Adapt and use culturally appropriate teaching strategies to address the
needs of learners from indigenous groups.
 Cooperative learning is based on two theories: Structure-Process-Outcome theory and
Social Interdependence theory. A collaborative (or cooperative) learning
approach involves pupils working together on activities or learning tasks in a group
small enough to ensure that everyone participates. Pupils in the group may work on
separate tasks contributing to a common overall outcome, or work together on a shared
task.
 Robert Slavin is the major proponent of cooperative learning.

C. GENERALIZATION
Call the students randomly to give a summary of the discussed topic.
 Indicator 1 - Apply knowledge of content within and across curriculum
teaching areas.
 Indicator 3- Use effective verbal and non-verbal classroom communication
strategies to support learner understanding, participation, engagement and
achievement.

D. EVALUATION
Direction: In a one-whole sheet of paper, construct research objectives from the title given
with its corresponding indicators per variable.
