GOAL. Use information from news reports, speeches, informative talks, panel discussions
etc. in everyday life.
ROLES. Your role is to become a Researcher and an Infographic Artist. (Find out the
various details about Volcanic Eruption, interview your schoolmates, teachers, Health
Practitioners, MDRMM and parents to gather information, and if the internet is available,
you can search for information to find out more about your topic.

SITUATION
STEP I: Create your own infographic about different ways to ensure disaster
preparedness during earthquakes. You can change the parts, add, or remove main
topics, subtopics, or details depending on the information you have gathered.
STEP II: Your School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator ask you to share
the infographic to inform others about disaster preparedness. The information
dissemination campaign will be supported by your Municipal Mayor by giving 1 peso for
every infographic shared via messenger.
You and your friends decided to donate the amount to be collected to the school
development project. You started sending the chain infographic photo to your 5 friends
and each of your 5 friends also shared to 5 other friends and the sequence is repeated.
If no one breaks the chat brigade, how much will they earn from the first to the 7th
sharing?
Include in your infographic your plan on how to use the raised amount to strengthen
the hazard resilience in your school.
STEP III. Develop and design five (5) strengthening exercises that can be executed at
home with family members in preparation to unforeseen calamities. Include the design
in your infographic.
