PT 1: DEAR FUTURE SELF English 4

Goal Your goal is to write a letter to your future self using the simple tenses of the
verb.

Role You are a child and a student.

Audience Your audience is your Grade 6 self.

Situation You would like to write for your future self and reflect on the differences in
your life after two years.

Product A five-paragraph personal letter

Objective/s being targeted:

1. Construct declarative and interrogative sentences using verbs in simple past and future
tense.
2. Create a document that, years from now, will have significant value to you

Procedures:

1. Write your letter to your future self.


2. Copy and paste your work on Grammarly. Correct the identified errors in your letter..
3. Submit your work on Aralinks Forum. Your letter must be at least five paragraphs with
five sentences each. The following topics are suggestions.

A. ME, NOW: my hopes, fears, dearms, goals, problems, concerns, likes, dislikes, joys,
frustrations; what I like about myself; what I don’t like about myself; what I’m proud of;
what I think about; what bothers me; who I am, etc.
B. MY WORLD: a description of my home, bedroom, school, neighborhood, town; my
favorite places to go; pet(s), possessions, clothes, religion, current events; FAVORITES -
books, music groups, movies, TV, etc.
C. WHAT I DO: my hobbies, pastimes, sports, school activities, what I do with friends,
favorite snacks and foods, chores, how I spend my weekends and vacations, special
activities I do, organizations I belong to, etc.
D. PEOPLE IN MY LIFE: my family, siblings, aunt & uncles, grandparents, friends, best
friend(s), teachers, people I admire and respect, important people in my life, etc.
E. MY FUTURE: predictions, what I want to do, my long range intentions; what I’m looking
forward to; what I’m dreaming; my goals; my hopes and fears for the world, etc.
