II. Nomenclature: Management Behavior in Education

III. Course Credit: 3 units/3 hrs. per week/54 hrs per semester or summer

IV. Course Description:

This course presents the theory and practices in behavioral management in relation to the
functions, organizational system and structure including school administration as well as how
personnel policies and procedures affecting school management.

V. OBJECTIVES AND METHODOLOGY:

1. Define management behavior in the light of its concepts and functions.

2. Discuss each of the functions of management by objectives and their implications to


administration and supervision of school personnel.
3. Point out the fundamental organization behavior contributory to job satisfaction in a
bureaucracy.

4. Explain some present personnel policies and procedures in the light of their implementation.

5. State some innovative management behavior as practice in the field.

1. Identifying the needs of school MBO

2. Monitoring Performance for improved result.

4. Establishing a plan for achieving objectives.

5. Conducting the performance appraisal review.

Unit III-Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior

1. Human Relations

2. External Administration and Public Relations Program

3. Working with people: hierarchy of Needs.

4. A modified theory: The motivational approach.


5. Effective classroom management and visit.
