IV. PROCEDURES
A. Elicit What is a triangulation method and how to perform it? The teacher will show a video clip of subduction site.
B. Engage Show picture of west valley fault system. The teacher will show a picture of tsunami. The teacher will ask series of questions
about it.
C. Explore *Perform Activity # 2: “Lets Mark the Boundaries” The teacher will post the cross-sectional diagram of converging oceanic plates.
*Discuss and analyze their work if they properly follow the procedures then check later on.
D. Explain The students will present their output. Discuss the formation of Philippine Archipelago.
*Discussion on the different types of plate boundaries. Why most of the mountains are tall?
E. Elaborate *What are you going to do if your house is located near to an active volcano? What is the cause of the formation of Himalayan mountain range?
*What do you think is the basis of scientists in dividing Earth’s lithosphere into several plates? What is the benefit of having a mountain near your place.
*What are you going to do if your house is located near to an active volcano? The teacher will discuss the process in converging plates.
F. Evaluate Paper and pen test “Multiple Choice” Paper and pen test “Multiple Choice”
G. Extend What are the 2 types of crust? Make a venn diagram showing the difference between the 2 NONE
