A wise man once asked, wouldn't it be wonderful if all humans were born with “manufacturer's

instructions" tied to their wrists, explaining who they are and how they work? It is quite ironic that even
if we were given this opportunity on a platter, some of us might still find ourselves skipping the manual
and thread the path of independence looking for better modes of operation that never existed.
Discovering the manufacturer's original intent brings a man to the understanding of purpose, potential
and our roles in this world.

I once read a book by Dr Myles Mudock titled Discovering Your Purpose. In the first chapter of the
book, I encountered some questions that really struck me;

Why did God make me?

What is His purpose in my life?

What does He want me to do?

What does He want me to be?

What is my assignment on the earth?

What problems was I created to solve?

What problems am I highly motivated to solve?

The Journey to self discovery commences with discovering your purpose and asking the BIG question -
WHO AM I?

The issue of lack of identity is something that affects many believers today. We lack the ability to find
out that which makes us different from the world, those inherent abilities that makes us different from
others. We must ask ourselves, Do we truly know who we are?

WHO AM I?

God in the beginning of creation had a need; He created the heavens and the earth, He looked around
for a one to meet this need and HE CHOSE YOU!. He chose you to ensure that His will be done here on
earth as it is in heaven, He chose you so that through you His original mandate for the creation of
mankind can be actualized. God can do all things beloved but here on earth He needs a vessel to work
through, and he wants YOU. What a great privilege it is to be counted worthy for use by the creator of
the Universe himself.

Until you identify where you fit in God's plan for creation, you can never harness the God's given
potentials that are embedded in you to carry out His demands, the gift of life given to us would be under
lived, under utilized and limited. The Lord said to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 “before I formed thee in the
belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a
prophet unto the nations.

God has a plan for our lives and as young minds we have to maximize the advantage that we have now.
Enough of wasting our time on things that do not work, things that do not profit, things that perish,
things that can never stand the eternity! 2 Cor. 4:18 - While we look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which
are not seen are eternal.

The journey to self discovery is not a lazy one. It takes diligence, discipline, commitment, dedication and
unending sacrifice. You would literally have to die to self, you would have to come to that point where
God becomes the all in all for you. It is either He is everything or He is nothing at all to you. *You have a
choice to make!*

Most importantly, to discover yourself you must discover the one who created you. Your journey to self
discovery is impossible without the person of the Holy Spirit.

John 14:18 - I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall
teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Romans 8:14 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

If you must discover it, then you need to dutifully search it out. Prov. 25:2- It is the glory of God to
conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Beloved, you belong to God. Your identity is engrafted in Christ. You are his chosen. 1 Peter 2:9 - “But ye
are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth
the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

This is who you are, this is your Identity. You are a king, born to reign in life through Christ, born to
dominate and not be dominated, born to be a living example of what Holiness represents, born to praise
God! _Hallelujah!!!_
