A. Reviewing previous lesson or REVIEW: PALARONG PANGMADLA
presenting the new lesson Class will be divided into two (2) groups. Each group will choose its representative
to play and answer for each round.

MOTIVATION: WHAT’S IN THE BOX???


The class will be divided into two (2) groups and then they will choose their
group’s box. They are going to guess what’s inside the box.
1. initial guess (The thing inside the box is _______)
2. clue
3. touch
The team who will guess it right will be the winner

Note: The students will be given an individual worksheet to meet the needs of the
students specially if there will be difficulties in reading such as
farsightedness/nearsightedness.
B. Establishing a purpose for the I THINK SO?
lesson Teacher will ask three (3) students if their given answers from the previous
activity is Truth or Opinion and then explain why.

Note: Opinion can always be argued.

The students will be grouped into 5. Handouts will be provided for them to
brainstorm in preparation for their activity. The students will be given 5 minutes
for the preparation and another 3 minutes for presentation.

They will discuss the 5 processes of acquiring knowledge that will help them to
distinguish opinion from truth

Note: For the students who will not be able to attend to this session/class due to
sickness (cough, fever, etc.) travel/transportation problems, and weather
conditions they will be given a lecture in a printed/digital format.
E. Discussing concepts and Now that we know how we know, it’s time to see whether the knowledge we
practicing new skills #2 acquired is “really” knowledge i.e., is true. This is the second part of
epistemology: validating one’s knowledge.

As the teacher gives the steps of validating one’s knowledge, they will now
analyze the statements given earlier if it is true.
