KATIKTOKSAYAN Contest Mechanics

1. Objectives

The KATIKTOKSAYAN contest aims to increase awareness on Philippine history, culture,

and arts as well as to showcase talents of learners through TikTok app.

2. Participants

The contest is for Grades 11 and 12 leaners who are currently enrolled in any public or private
secondary school. The school should be duly recognized by the Department of Education.

3. Scope

The entries should depict any account of the Philippine history, culture, and arts.

4. Entry Specification

Each SDO shall only have one entry. Each entry should take note of the following
requirements to ensure that their material satisfies the specifications of the contest:

4.1 Only one student will perform in the video material.

4.2 The material should not exceed one (1) minute and must be taken in portrait format.
4.3 Background music is open.
4.4 Video editing or use of existing TikTok effects is allowed.
4.4 The entry maybe in dance, singing, lip sync, acting or a combination of the aforementioned
choices.
4.5 There is no specific requirement for costume as long as it is modest.
4.6 Video entry should be uploaded in TikTok app using an account that is not private as the
video link and a saved TikTok video will be submitted.
4.7 Participants should follow health protocols or quarantine rules while taking the video.

* Defiance on any of the above specifications is subject to disqualification of entry.

5. Criteria

5.1 Adherence to the Scope and Objective 40%

5.2 Creativity and Originality 40%
5.3 Wow Factor/Screen Presence 20%
Total 100%

6. Determination and Announcement of Winners

The first three entries that will get the highest score shall be considered 1 st, 2nd, and 3rd placers
and it will be announced during the Regional Festival of Talents.

7. Submission of Entries
7.1 The deadline of submission will be not later than __________________ at 5:00 p.m.
7.2 Each entry must be accompanied by the following requirements:
7.2.1 Certification from the principal that the contestant is enrolled in the current school
year
7.2.2 Scanned copy of the registration form
7.3 Entries shall be uploaded to https://bit.ly/2XiOU0E , use file name
DIVISION_KATIKTOKSAYAN (Ex. Davao del Norte_KATIKTOKSAYAN) and send the
entry link to any of the persons listed below for validation:
