II. SUMMARY

Hypertension is a common condition where the force of long-term action against the artery wall is high
enough that it eventually causes health problems, such as heart disease. Blood pressure is determined by the
amount of blood your heart pumps and the amount of resistance to blood flow in your arteries. The more
blood the heart pumps and the narrowed arteries, the higher the blood pressure.
You can have high blood pressure (hypertension) for years without any symptoms. Even if no symptoms
appear, damage to blood vessels and the heart continues and can be detected. Uncontrolled high blood
pressure increases the risk of serious health problems, including heart attack and stroke. High blood
pressure generally develops over a period of years, and eventually affects nearly all people. Fortunately,
high blood pressure can be easily detected. Once you know you have high blood pressure, you can work with
your doctor to control it.

III. NURSING IMPLICATIONS

A. To Nursing Practice

Bake to the journal nursing practice the nurse should know there is no identifiable cause of high blood
pressure. This type of hypertension, known as primary (primary) hypertension, tends to develop gradually
over many years.
Some people develop high blood pressure that is caused by mysterious circumstances. This type of high
blood pressure - known as secondary hypertension - appears suddenly and causes higher blood pressure
than primary hypertension. The nurse plays a major role in giving a specific and accurate information to the
patient about his/her health status, and how they deals with this disease and how they prevents from it.

B. To Nursing Education
I learned from this journal the signs and symptoms about hypertension and the very from mild to severe
and the types of hypertension , There are several conditions and various drugs that may lead to
secondary hypertension, including: Obstructive sleep apnea Kidney problems Adrenal gland tumors
Thyroid problems, I learned The extra pressure on your artery walls caused by high blood pressure can
damage your blood vessels
c. To Nursing Research

The journal noted about health care –high blood pressure, Measurement of blood pressure is the only
way to detect the presence of high blood pressure. Because this condition is not accompanied by any
symptoms or signs most of the time, As a nurses we need to study more about this point and learn more how
we can protect our self and practice good hygiene .and we have to learn how to deals with hypertension
patient especially in the most exposed air space to this disease. We have to research how we can protect our
self and teach others to reduce the risk of this disease.
IV. PERSONAL INSIGHTS

I agree with the journal in the general and in particular in prevention of hypertension , I learned A sudden
increase in blood pressure is not a normal symptom, and to protect myself for doing A diet is good for my
health Reducing sodium in my diet, Refrain from caffeine. Reduces psychological stress , Exercise
regularly , Monitor my blood pressure.
