IT8000E CONTROL/ONLINE is a W&M With a printer connected to the IT8000E

approved industrial weighing terminal
which can be remotely controlled over the
Ethernet interface from a PC or PLC.
Taring, zero setting and other functions
can alternatively be released via digital
inputs (from PLC or external push
buttons). Four configurable setpoints are
available.
Housed in a compact and robust
stainless steel enclosure (IP65) the
terminal enables the data capture and
recording of weighing and associated
operational data direct in harsh
environment weighing locations.
Scales of any type can be connected to
the terminal, eg floor, bench or precision
scales.
CONTROL/ONLINE terminal, W&M
approved records can be obtained. Layout
and format of printing can be controlled
from the PC.
The integrated approved data archive
eliminates the need to use a separate log
printer.
Supported ONLINE commands from PC:

l Tare scale
l Position cursor on template
l Show text, acknowledge message
l Enter or scan data
l Print
l Read inputs, eg state of limit switches
or light barriers
l Set outputs, eg to control traffic lights
or roller conveyors.

Remote control (ONLINE):
IT8000E CONTROL/ONLINE enables
the simple creation of intelligent weighing
locations, eg for production, shipping/
receiving or truck scales.
The weighing terminal is connected to
the Ethernet LAN and a PC transmits
commands to control the operating
sequence.
IT8000E CONTROL/ONLINE responds
to each command with an 'acknowledge'
data string.
The PC program is always in full control
of the complete sequence of the
operation and the printouts. The
following example demonstrates how the
PC, with 3 commands, controls the
manual weighing operation to a target
weight:
Example:
l The PC sends the tare command TA.
The scale is automatically tared and a
status message is returned to the PC
l The PC sends the command to display:
FILL100 kg -The weighing terminal
displays the prompt 'FILL 100 kg' and
sends the code of the acknowledge
key back to the PC
l The PC sends the weight capture
command RN. The weighing terminal
captures the weight as soon as the
scale has settled and returns a data
string containing date, time, gross,
tare and net weight to the PC.
