I. Objectives
At the end of the leson, the 2nd year students should be able to:
1. Learn how to effectively play table tennis by developing a serve, forehand and backhand.
2. Demonstrate understanding of the various techniques of table tennis such as different types of shots
and grips.
3. Show improvement and skill development every day by meeting the objectives (i.e.) meeting the
accuracy percentage for the day.
4. Learn the rules and strategies of table tennis. We will teach both offensive and defensive strategies
while also incorporating rules into lessons.
5. To get the students passionate about table tennis so they will play on their own after this course.
C. Lesson Proper
There are four basic table tennis stroke are “All of the students try the back hand attack”
necessary to master forehand and back hand attack
and defence.
How to execute a Table Tennis forehand and “ Sir, executing the forehand drive or push can be
backhand? Anyone! broken down into four component which is your
stance, the strike and the finish.

What can you say about Forehand and Backhand “ Sir, forehand strokes are hit with the front of
drive anyone? the hand leading like hitting with the palm,
whereas backhand strokes are hit with the back of
the hand leading like hitting with the knuckles.
And also, players frequently play certain strokes
on the forehand side with a backhand hitting
action and vice versa.

D. Acitivity
Now let’s have an acitivity, It is call ‘ Ball
Bounce”. This game is work with a partner and
find a space. Go to your partner. Then, the first “Yes sir”
player holds the ball and the bat. The leader blows
the whistle the time will start.
Instructions: Bounce the ball on the bat using
forehand only, while your partner counts how
many times you do this. If the balls drops, pick it
up and carry on counting from the last number
until the whistle blows. Your partner tell me your
score.
E. Generalization
Now let’s have a review, what are the basic “Forehand drive/push and Backhand drive/push’
strokes in playing Table tennis?

IV. Evaluation
In a google classroom, answer the following:
1-4. Name the basic strokes in playing Table Tennis.
5-8. And explain those basic strokes in Table Tennis
9-10. Rules in Table Tennis
