In terms ofthe provisions laid down in Clause 5.2 oflS 15806:2018, the testing ofengine
make Ashok Leyland Model H6ETICRC3R325 was not required to be carried out, as this
engine has already been tested by International Centre for Automotive Technology (A
division ofNATRIP implementation Society (NATIS), Govt. Oflndia, Manesar, Curugram,
122050 (Haryana) vide its repoft No. CDOEO-0321 dated 14.10.2019. However, for the
sake of information of the reader, the excerpts from the test results ofthe said testing, is
given in the ensuing tables and figures.

13. MECHANICAL VIBRATION TEST

The amplitude of mechanical vibration on various assemblies/ components of the harvester


were recorded by running the machine und€r the stationary condition at engine speed recommended
for field operation on a level concrete surface and without load with all systems working. The base
cutter and crop divider height was maintained at I50 mm above ground level. l'he amplitude of
vibration was measured in horizontal and vertical positions of the accelerometer and the results are
ted as below

21.6 Operator's field of vision


The masking eff€ct at front semi-circle ofvision is 3050 mm, which is consider on
higher side. It should be looked into for corrective action
21.7 Field performance
D Leakage of hydraulic oil at various location was observed (Refer chapter I7) during
field lesl i5 should be looked in to corrccLi\e aclion.

i0 The base cutter hydraulic oil pressure gauge stopped working during field t€st. It should
be looked into for suitable corective action.

iiD The crop divides hydraulic pipe (refer chapter l7 Sr. No 5 ) damaged at outer surface, It
should be looked into for corective action.

iv) The Mechanical lock for the topper is not provided. It MUST be provided for saf'ety.

v) The accelerrt'ed wear of front tyres was observed during field test and within 65.62
hours ofoperation, both front tyres worn out so much as to call for replacement.
It is Highly undesirable. It MUST be looked into for corrective action.

2t.a The controls and gauges listed at para 25.3 ofspecification does not meet the
requirement oflS:6283 (Partl) 2006 and IS:6283 (Part-2) 2007. 11 must be looked into
for corrective action.
