PRINCIPAL'S
Corner
Can you believe that we are already in September! Time is flying by so quickly!
Thank you to everyone for your help and support so far this year. At times I may
September 1 - Stuffed Baked Potatoes sound like a broken record, but I cannot say it enough: we truly appreciate your
support. We cannot do what we do without your help at home.
September 8 - Chicken Strips and Fries
September 15 - Cheesy Baked Spaghetti
As we enter this new month, we are closing our first fundraiser, Little Caesars
September 22 - Hot Dogs Pizza Kits. We did not reach our school goal, but we did make right at $300.
September 29 - Pizza Thank you all for helping with this fundraiser. Please mark on your calendars
that we will be having a bake sale and car wash fundraiser Saturday,
September 10th, from 10-2. Attendance for the entire fundraiser is mandatory

IMPORTANT for all students. Also, please be sure that your family makes/purchases at a
minimum 2 dozen small, individually wrapped, baked goods such as cookies,
DATES brownies, cake pops, etc. If you plan to bring larger baked good items, such as

Danielle or I so that we can plan table space accordingly. We had a blast with
if student has not completed through Lesson

September 8 - Progress Reports Issued expecting greater this year. Be on the lookout for a flyer to share on social
September 10 - Car Wash and Bake Sale media, via text message, copy and pass out, etc. Let’s do our part to make this
Fundraiser year a major success!

Looking at our school calendar, we have some dates to pay close attention to.
Monday, September 5th is Labor Day, and we will not have school. Students
have been encouraged to finish through lesson 21 by the end of the day
Thursday, September 1st, so that they do not have any work to do at home that
day. If a student is not finished with lesson 21 by then, they are required to
complete lesson 21 at home on Labor Day.

Rowan - September 17 I also want to congratulate our first “Student of the Month”. This student
exemplifies Christian character, outstanding academic progress, and completes
Andrew - September 18 their assigned work on time. Recipients of this honor will receive a Chick-fil-A

Vicente - September 24 breakfast, a Kilgore Mercantile & Music gift certificate for free ice cream, and a
special treat from the principal! The first recipient of this title is Ms. Sarah Faulk.

Fun Stuff
Sarah has shown Christian character, she is showing outstanding academic
progress, and she has completed every assignment that has been assigned this
year, and some ahead! Thank you, Sarah, for your diligence and great work
ethic this year!
