COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course covers the study on human behavior with emphasis on the concept of
human development and abnormal behavior. It includes strategies and approaches in
handling different kinds of abnormal behavior in relation to law enforcement and criminal
proceedings. It also includes the study of victimization, the role of community and
techniques in assisting offender’s reintegration and victim’s recovery.

Each student will be graded based on the following requirements:

A continuous assessment for students to actively participate in


class discussion, articulate ideas, build shared understanding
engage with content, and to contribute to a dynamic learning
environment.

Written Work 20% CLO 1-5

This is to ensure that students are able to express skills and


concepts in written form and this will be long quizzes or long
test which will help students strengthen test taking skills.

Performance Task 30% CLO 1-5

This is to ensure students show what they know and are able
to do in diverse ways.

Midterm/Final Exam 40% CLO 1-5

This is synthesizing student learning skills, concepts, and


values learned in an entire halves of the semester

CLASS POLICIES

1. Attendance shall be checked regularly. University rules on lateness and


absences shall be followed.

2. Proper classroom decorum shall always be observed.

3. All mobile phones shall be put on silent mode.

4. All course requirements shall be submitted on time. Late submissions shall have
corresponding deductions.

5. Students who are caught cheating and plagiarizing in any form shall be
punishable by university rules.

6. Class standings shall be posted before they are released as final marks.
Questions regarding grades shall be raised during this period. Once grades are
submitted at the end of the semester, they shall be considered final. Change of
grades shall be possible only if there is an error in computation.
