Greetings!

Please be reminded that as per Ordinance No. 11, Series of 2017 or the so-called
“Mondragon Integrated Solid Waste Management Ordinance of 2017” the following acts
are prohibited and violations thereof has corresponding penalties as provided in the
Ordinance.

Article 15, Section 32 - Prohibited Acts:

1. Littering or throwing of waste matters in public places;


2. Dumping of garbage in public and private places;
3. Non-Segregation of solid waste at source;
4. Unscheduled bringing out of waste;
5. Unauthorized dumping of solid waste at the disposal facility;
6. Improper dumping of solid waste at the disposal facility;
7. Transport of solid waste without nets or covering materials on the collection
vehicles;
8. Open burning of solid waste
9. Burning of agricultural waste;
10. Transporting/bringing of solid waste to other barangays
Article 15, Section 33 – Fines and penalties. The following fines and penalties shall be
imposed for violation of this Ordinance:

1. First Offense – Php1,000.00 or 8 hours community service;


2. Second Offense – Php2,000.00 or 16 hours community service
3. Third Offense – 2,500.00 or 40 hours community service
4. Fourth Offense – Imprisonment of one (1) month to six (6) months at the
discretion of the court.
Further, Article 5, Section 7 of the Ordinance specifically provides for proper Segregation of
the Solid Waste to wit:

Section 7. Mandatory Segregation of Solid Waste – The segregation of solid waste


shall be mandatory. Segregation shall primarily be conducted at the source to include
household, institutional, industrial, commercial and agricultural sources.
