(27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Romans 1:23 KJVR And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Gods Image
1. God speaking Genesis, speaking in the pluorma, meaning the fullness

or totality of his personage, makes the declaration; I will make man in my image, after my likeness. 2. The word image if found some 83 times in scripture.
3. We are created in the image and likeness of God. The image of God deals with what is done in the mind of the individual; let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus... 4. Likeness of God deals with the effect of the mental images you hold in your mind and how you react and respond to situation. Sage 5. The word Image used here comes from the Hebrew Word tseh'-lem, which literally means a representation. 6. Man in our original state was created to be a representation of God, in

the earth. 7. Listen how Colossians 1:15 describes Jesus.

Colossians 1:15 KJVR Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

8. Look at this. Jesus was the image or representation of God who is invisible. 9. That which is invisible does not have its own image.

invisible God needs a visible image and representation of himself in the earth.
Romans 1:21-23 MSG What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. (22) They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life. (23) They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines you can buy at any roadside stand. 11. Many of us wonder why people can say they love us and treat us so bad.
12. The reason is very simple, sin in us and in the other person has the ability to cheapen the value of who we appear to be.

13. The image that you hold of yourself will determine what reality you live in.

Effect of Sin of The God image

14. What do I mean, if your image is that life hard and life is difficult, that will be the reality that you constantly live in.

15. Sin has the power to distort the image that you have of yourself. 16. God created all of us in his image and likeness and that is image that he desire for us to operate from. 17. In Gen. 2:7 we have the process by which God places his invisible image in dust to make it visible. Genesis 2:25 MSG The two of them, the Man and his Wife, were naked, but they felt no shame. Genesis 3:7 MSG Immediately the two of them did "see what's really going on"--saw themselves naked! They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves.
18. Let me say right here, feeling is never a good indicator to use when you are trying to find out who you are. 19. Before that Adam and Eve eat of the tree that God told them not to they where already naked, but the glory of God covered them.

Effect of Sin on the God Image

21. In even though Gen. 3:7 says there eyes were open. You have to understand that faith has to be our sight, not our feelings, not other peoples opinion not any short of faith in God, cause he created us.

22. An opening of the natural eyes is always a closing of the eyes of faith.
23. It is very important that we all take time often and ask the Holy Spirit

to show us what limiting images about our life that we are holding. 24. The reason this is so important is found in scripture.
Matthew 13:57-58 KJVR And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. (58) And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
25. The reason that Jesus, God manifested in flesh, the Creator of Heaven and Earth was powerless to do many miracles was become of the image the people held in their minds.. 26.One commentary says, Faith seems to put the almighty power of God into the hands of men; whereas unbelief appears to tie up even the hands of the Almighty. 27. The real issue here is this, the people had more faith in the images that they had of their situation staying the same than they did in Jesus being able to change it. a. b. c. d.

I cant be healed, the doctor said I cant get free, I have always had this issus.. I cant live without this abusive relationship. I will always be like this, it runs in my family.

28. Think about this, your image of yourself literally sets the bondages and limitation of how far you will go in life. 29. Everything you deal with on a daily bases is created out of the images that you hold of yourself.

Matthew 13:54-57 MSG returned to his hometown, and gave a lecture in the meetinghouse. He made a real hit, impressing everyone. "We had no idea he was this good!" they said. "How did he get so wise, get such ability?" (55) But in the next breath they were cutting him down: "We've known him since he was a kid; he's the carpenter's son. We know his mother, Mary. We know his brothers James and Joseph, Simon and Judas. (56) All his sisters live here. Who does he think he is?" (57) They got their noses all out of joint.

30. Not only did their images of their situation stop God their familiar images of Jesus stopped God from doing many miracles.
31. Dont get so familiar with you pastor that your image of him cause you to miss God.

32. Not only do you need to pay attention to the images that you have of yourself, be mindful of the images you hold of other people; because people will always live up to that image be it positive or negative.
a. Some men/women cheat in relationship because the partner saw them as a cheater, which over time cause them to start treating them like a cheater, lone before they did anything!

b. Job held fear birthed images of his children that become a door for the enemy to come in.

Proverbs 23:7 KJVR For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
33. And I sorry to be the one to inform you, getting saved does not change the negative images that you have of yourself, the renewing of your mind does!

34. One translation of Prov. 23:7 says as he thinketh so he becomes.

35. You cant not blame anyone for anything that happens in your life,

because no one is responsible for the images that you hold about yourself and what your believe can and will happen to you. Responsibility 36. One think that the church and church leaders have come up short on is teach the saints to take responsibility for their results. Face book post: I just got a text from the devil and he said he really tired of the saints not taking responsibly for their actions, thoughts and deeds. He said he is not able to make you do anything, he doesn't have that power. He even quote a verse, James 1:14 MSG The temptation to give in to evil comes from us and only us. We have no one to blame but the leering, seducing flare-up of our own lust.

37. Nothing in your life will change until you change the images that you hold about yourself. At some point you have to say I was created in the image and likeness of God why I am I settling for less than Kingship? 38. Stop look to blame people for the way you are!!!! 39. Stop looking to make the devil out to be the cause of everything bad that happen. a. You in debt cause you dont understand the principles of money. b. Youre in bad health cause you dont understand the principles of maintaining good health and right thinking, because you can think your way into a sickness, it is call psychosomatic illness; illness embraced so strongly by the mind that it manifest in the body .
40. Pray for me I don't subscribe to the belief any more of a literally devil

Responsibility

as much as negative collective consciousness of images that not like God. 41. If there is a devil the bible lets me know know he is fangless and powerless!
James 4:7 KJVR Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 42. 43. God give you his image but it is up to you to maintain that image and likeness.
44. The image deals with what you do in the mind. Likeness deals with the effect of the mental images on how you react and responsive to situation. 6 |Page

45. Nobody not even God himself will change the images that you hold of yourself. 46. The images, positive or negative, that you hold of yourself, your life, society and how you think life is, are nothing more that beliefs that you hold, because the mind thinks in pictures. Change the pictures and change your reality.
47. How do you do that? You have to find a truth that supersedes the

belief that you currently hold.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJVR For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

48. Except the truth of God's thoughts toward you, thoughts of peace and expected joyous end and solution to every situation. Change the Image
Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJVR And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. (3) For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

49. The bible always speaks about the tables of your heart. The heart is the central and center of man, being his mind, will, and emotions.
50. What this verse is saying is we need to have a clear mental picture of

the image of God, meaning who God is in our life, & who we are as representatives of God in the earth, as well as his plain for us. It may take some time, but be patient it will manifest. Sage 51. In conclusion, ask God to change your image of other people, so you can see them as the sees them.
52. Remember, the mind thinks in pictures, so dont do like job, who sent

out negative images of his children that become a door for the enemy to come in, bless your children and all the people you see with images of them knowing, doing, and being better. - Sage
