1. Make an essay regarding the Separation of the Church and State in connection with the movie
you watched.
Answer: Anak is a movie released on the year 2000 starring Mrs. Vilma Santos-Recto and Ms.
Claudine Baretto. This movie has a deep storyline that makes people realize 2 things; Love and
Sacrifice. In connection with the topic, the separation of the church and state has a lot to go
beyond and be correlated with the movie. In the movie Vilma Santos (Mother) has to go abroad
and be an OFW, doing sacrifices to feed her children in the Philippines, which makes her eldest
addiction, just because she thought that her mother left for nothing, but later realized that they
may not be connected physically but still connected by heart. Same as through with the
separation of the church and the state, which magnifies the connection of the 2 topics, that the
church is responsible for the understanding of the discipleship to many and the state is
responsible for the sacrifice for the good of plenty.
2. Explain in full context the relevance of the movie to our current situation.
Answer: The move has a lot to educate people and a lot to deliver. In times like this, sacrifices
are mostly evident and seen. This time of pandemic, life has been hard to all of us, especially to
our beloved frontliners who continuously bring themselves up to sacrifice, in order to have a
safer and Covid free environment; which makes them see their families afar and take risks,
understood that the world needs them.
3. You are the producer of this movie, aside from revenue, what is the reason why did you
produced the movie?
Answer: If I were to be the movie producer, my main objective why I released the movie is to
make people realize especially the youth that no sacrifices are worthy of someone’s drama,
because one drama is nothing more than millions and billions of trauma that a sacrificing person
in into. It may not hinder dreams and goals, but it hinders connection and relation to each other.
4. Objectively discuss what is anti-Catholic
Answer: Anti-Catholic in my opinion is the people who believes in religion but disagrees with its
teachings, because not all that the Catholic teaches are a must and a should. Some are pro and
sine are cons, it may be balanced in the eyes of others but in accordance with that has been
taught since then, Catholicism is more than what’s beyond its teachings.
5. Is this a must-watch movie? Explain.
Answer: Definitely yes, because if the movie wasn’t released, the world with never be this way,
no sacrifices are understood and no person would sanctify themselves to connect with people and
what’s above us. It defines as our guide to project love and affection and not anger and
distraction.
