These release notes describe version information for PlantPAx DCS, version 4.6 (released 6/2019).

Library of Process Objects Version 4.1

Enhancements to several logic instructions and faceplate objects to better support customers in the cement industry that are suitable for all industries.
Requires RSLogix 5000®/Studio 5000 Logix Designer® V18 or later. Some objects require later version for proper support of device profiles:

PF6000:  V20 (Add-On Profile [AOP])
Endress+Hauser Promag/Promass 300/500:  V20 (AOP)
1715 HART I/O:  V20 (AOP)
1718/1719 HART I/O:  V24 (AOP)
1794-IF8IHNFXT:  V24 (device profile)
L_ModuleSts:  V24 (MODULE as a parameter)

Add-On Instruction Changes

P_AInAdv enhanced with the addition of control limits
P_AIChan enhanced with clamping to full range (100%) and/or minimum range (0%) while within a band.
All motor and valve types that are enhanced with an audible horn functionality to require an audible horn output for a period prior to field operation of
the equipment. Further, the audible horn can be inhibited by mapping external logic to the input inhibit horn function. For example, a local audible horn
can be inhibited by a sequence if a common area audible horn is used.
All motor and valve types that are enhanced to support an external command source to allow field start request from the HMI.
P_Seq enhanced to provide flexible controller-based step sequencing that is configurable from the HMI. Steps can be added, deleted, or modified
from the HMI (including for the Stopping State). The state model includes idle, running, complete, held, paused, and stop states.
Improved Endress+Hauser Heartbeat integration

New Instructions and Devices

P_IntlkAdv includes the functionality of the existing P_Intlk with the addition of eight configurable interlock types for categorization, availability
consideration, and I/O quality for each interlock input.
P_DInAdv includes the functionality of the existing P_Din with the addition of speed switch functionality, a dual not normal situation indication, and a
derived equipment speed indication from pulsed inputs to better support legacy input devices.

Display Changes

Requires FactoryTalk® View SE/ME v10.00.01 (must apply security patch) or later
Updates to faceplates to reflect the enhanced Add-On Instructions.
New faceplates for new Add-On Instructions
Standard support for “enable navigation to an object with more information” from faceplates.

Virtual Image Templates for PlantPAx DCS System Version 4.6

The virtual image templates have been updated to support Microsoft Windows Server 2016 for all server-based templates. Major software updates for the
affected templates include:

FactoryTalk® View 11.0
FactoryTalk® Historian SE 6.0
FactoryTalk® Batch 13.00.02
FactoryTalk® VantagePoint® 8.10
