Verse
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have
eternal life? Matthew 19:16
Reflection
it would not guarantee or grant you eternal life. And as wonderful as giving to the poor is, there would
still be a void if Jesus is absent because He is eternal life. Apostle John puts it thus in 1 John 5: 13: “I
write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you
have eternal life.”
So, if you follow Jesus in truth and in spirit, you have eternal life with God. The same is true of your
relatives, friends, colleagues and next door neighbors. When Jesus is absent, no matter the religion we
practice, there is eternal death.
Prayer Focus
I need to thank God for giving me eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Day 126
Verse
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love;3 Endeavouring to
keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3
Reflection
Many homes, even Christian ones, are unhappy. Many pay more attention to frivolous
things outside the home than they pay on their spouse and children. Many hardly say
First, “be completely humble and gentle."God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” A
marriage filled with pride does not have the favor of God, and a spouse with the Spirit of God opposes
pride too. Second, “be patient.” Love always entails patience when you love someone, you are patient
with them, just as God is patient with us.Third, “Make every effort” to live in peace
It’s not easy but the God of marriage will help you.

Day 127
Verse
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves,
how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5
Reflection
It is difficult to be honest even with ourselves. Our pride justifies mistakes, minimizes them, or even
denies their existence.
When we take the same approach to sin, it is spiritually devastating.
Prayer Focus
I need to be honest about my sins and my faults and reveal sins that will affect my relationship with God.
Day 128
Verse
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psalms 51:17
Reflection
Prayer Focus
I need to clear all the pride in me and humble myself and God will make something
beautiful out of my brokeness.
Day 129
Verse
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17
Reflection
At the end of a day, it is spiritually healthy to consider any sins or wrong we may have committed that
day and ask God to forgive us. But the Bible throws something else at us: the sin of omission. Omission:
a failure to do something. Now chew on that for a while. The wrongs we commit are sometimes easy to
list, but imagine how big the sin of our negligence might be!
Prayer Focus
I need God to forgive my sin of negligence and help me to obey His voice when it urges me to do good
throughout the day.
Day 130
Verse
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least
of these, ye did it not to me. Matthew 25:45
Reflection
Jesus insists the sin of omission again in this verse.Jesus says that when we do
good for the “least” of our society, that we are doing good to Him. He also says that when we do not do
good to the hungry, the sick, the hurting, the isolated, we have neglected Him. He says those who
neglect Him will be sent away into “everlasting punishment."
Prayer Focus
May the Lord help me to see Him in every needy soul who crosses my path.
Day 131
Verse
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference Romans 3:22
Reflection
A time of reflection and repentance may lead
this broken woman, Jesus said, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” Though your sins may be many,
have faith in Jesus Christ. Go in peace.
Prayer Focus
I need to pray to God thanking him for not condemning me, but for loving and forgiving me.
Day 132
Verse
34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever
will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Mark 8:34
Reflection

Day 133
Verse
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves do not break through nor steal Mathew 6:20
Reflection
Let us think about the “rich young ruler” who asked Jesus how to attain eternal life. The Bible says that
Jesus looked at him and loved him. Jesus asked him to sell everything he had, give
it to the poor, and follow Him. This young man left because the sacrifice was too high.Wealth, in itself, is
not sinful. But when the attachment to wealth,
or pleasure, or comfort, or time keeps you from being obedient to a call to
sacrifice, then it is a problem.
Prayer Focus
I don't want to be like the rich young ruler but I want to store treasures in heaven.
Day 134
Verse
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36
Reflection
Jesus didn’t hesitate to ask for extreme sacrifice from those He called, and it was because He loved
them! The rich young ruler asked how to attain eternal life. Jesus gave him the secret - total surrender.
Our Lord came from the other side of that sacrifice and knew the reality of an eternal dimension we can
only imagine. So do that! Imagine eternity and Jesus’ love for you. Sacrifice becomes easy...it becomes
freedom!
Prayer Focus
I need God to help me to fully understand that any sacrifice you may ask of me is simply a doorway to
true happiness and freedom.
Day 135
Verse
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make
haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and
received him joyfully.7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest
with a man that is a sinner.8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my
goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him
fourfold.
Reflection
. A true encounter
with Jesus makes sacrifice easy. Zacchaeus was generous because in
trust Him. We clearly see that He will take care of every detail of our lives when we completely
surrender to Him.
Prayer Focus
May the Lord let my heart’s response be generous because I will be completely trusting that He is in
control.
Day 136
Verse
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your
eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. John 4:35
Reflection
Day 137
Verse
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened
the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire
round about Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17
Reflection

Day 138
Verse
19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision Acts 26:19
Reflection
drastically, and ultimately accelerated the spread of Christianity. But it wasn’t just the vision that
changed Paul. It was his obedience to the vision. As we allow the Holy Spirit to enlarge our imaginations
and to open our eyes, He may blind us with a powerful vision
Prayer Focus
May the Lord give me a heavenly vision and help me to be obedient to that vision.
Day 139
Verse
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Reflection
Faith is seeing through spiritual lenses when our human eyes see nothing. Jesus wanted His disciples to
understand the power of faith in human terms. He told them that if they had faith the size of a little, tiny
mustard seed, it could move a mountain. Imagine the contrast of a
mustard seed to a mountain.Dare to imagine the God who is and not the one your human mind can
comprehend.
Prayer Focus
May the Lord help me to increase my faith and heal my spiritual blindness so that l can see heavenly
visions.
Day 140
Verse
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; ............. Revelations 2:7
Reflection
Thoughts and images constantly flitting through our brains are considered “noise” just as much
as literal sounds. Let us think about the noise in our world today for example various social media send
us messages 24-7.we must make an effort to find solitude and silence to hear the most important
messages we’ll ever receive that are words from the Spirit.
Prayer Focus
I need to commit myself to God,listen to His word and remove all harsh sounds in my life.
Day 141
Verse
7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. Psalm
16:7
Reflection
The Psalmist believed this, also, as we see in today’s Scripture. When we’re quiet enough to listen, God
begins to speak wonderful “counsel” to
our hearts. He plants seeds of ideas and dreams that begin to grow from
our inner-most being. Sometimes we doubt these dreams. We are afraid
that they are not from God. Be not afraid. Go back to the Source and quietly listen to God’s thoughts
and plans that include you.
Prayer Focus
I need to be courageous to step out on faith and acts on the God given dreams so that l will be
everything He wants me to be.
Day 142
Verse
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2
Reflection
we read. Sometimes, God speaks to us through His written word. Like David, let’s meditate on God’s
Word day and night, and allow God to speak to us through His Word.
Prayer Focus
May the Lord help me to hear and understand what he is speaking to me as l read and meditate bible
passages.
Day 143
Verse
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in
all manner of workmanship,4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,5 And
in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.Exodus
31:3-5
Reflection
Our creative God wants to fill us with creative gifts so that we may use them for His work. When He
wanted the tabernacle built, He chose to fill Bezalel with wonderful skills and knowledge to construct it.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He still wants to fill us with creativity to further His
kingdom.
Prayer Focus
I need God to fill me with creative thinking, with gifts and skills.
Day 144
Verse
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set
down with my Father in his throne. Revelations 3:21
Reflection
Prayer Focus
I need strength from God when l find myself weak during this challenging journey of waiting for the
second coming of Christ.
Day 145
Verse
21 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing,
and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his
service, and for the holy Exodus 35:21
Reflection
Moses went into great detail about the needs for the tabernacle and its court. The people gave an
offering for the work that needed to be done because they understood God had freed them from
slavery and made them rich. Therefore, what they had belonged to Him. We must remember that God
has given us all the resources that we need to live this life. Our heart should always be receptive to a
move of the Spirit in regard to giving.
Prayer Focus
Day 146
Verse
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men Colossians 3:23
Reflection
Prayer Focus
I need to pray to God for strength to live a life that pleases Him only.
Day 147
Verse
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Phillipians 2:2
Reflection
In this verse, Paul, talking with his friends and having acknowledged their suffering, appeals to them, in
their current situation, to stand firm in one Spirit and as a united body. Only then can they complete
Paul’s own joy. It is imperative that we as believers are like-minded that we operate in the same love
and Spirit, so that we are able to effectively
present Christ as a unified body.
Prayer Focus
May the Lord bind our families with the love so we approach challenges as a united body.
Day 148
Verse
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 2
Corinthians 9:11
Reflection
God supplies seed to the sower so He can “increase the harvest of your righteousness.” God gives these
things so we will be generous and do good works. Our generosity can cause others to
thank God. Doing good for others and being generous will cause people to give thanks and glorify God.
Prayer Focus
I need to humbly pray that God supply seeds for sowing.and that He multiply that seed so I may be
generous toward others.
Day 49
Verse
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath James
1:19
Reflection
God asks
us to try hard to get rid of anger in a good way. As soon as we are feeling angry to stop , think about
something else for a
minute and then start again and this
should help us to feel less angry.

Day 150
Verse
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of
the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10
Reflection
God made every person and even little babies with gifts that they can give to others. Not like giving
presents but things that we can do every day to help others and make them
feel good. You have lots of things that you can do well like being kind and saying nice things to others.
And these things are all needed by your family, friends and teachers to help them.
