Pizza Hut is an American restaurant chain; it is the words largest restaurant company with approximate 34000 franchises.

It has many types of pizza and also has some other dishes like Buffalo wings, pasta, garlic bread etc. it has restaurants in 100 countries and its base or headquarter is legacy office park in nearby Plano.

History
Pizza Hut was founded by brothers Dan and Frank Carney in 1958 in their hometown of Wichita, Kansas. When a friend suggested opening a pizza parlor, they agreed and they borrowed $600 from their mother to start a business with partner John Bender. They rented a small building at 503 South Bluff in downtown Wichita and purchased secondhand equipment to make pizzas, So Carneys and Bender opened the first "Pizza Hut" restaurant. They chose the name "Pizza Hut". Purchased a sign. The first franchise unit opened in 1959 in Topeka, Kansas. The original Pizza Hut building was later relocated to the Wichita State University campus and then additional restaurants were opened. In 1977 Pizza Hut merged with PepsiCo, becoming a division of the global soft drink and food conglomerate.

Layout
Dan and Frank Carney soon decided that they needed to have a good standard image. The Carney brothers contacted Wichita architect Richard D. Burke, who designed the distinctive mansard roof shape and standardized layout, hoping to counter competition from Shakes pizza, a chain that was expanding on the west coast.

On April 1, 2008, Pizza Hut in America sent emails to customers advertising that they now offer pasta items on their menu. The email stated "Pasta so good, we changed our name to Pasta Hut!" The name change was a publicity stunt held in conjunction with April fool Day,This name change was also used to promote the new Tuscani Pasta and new Pizza Hut dine-in menu. The first Pasta Hut advertisement has the original Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut has also many branches in Pakistan in different cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sialkot, Peshawar, Faisalabad and Gujranwala. In Faisalabad Pizza Hut is situated in Civil Lines (China Town Bldg, 7- Faisal Road, Civil Lines) and Peoples Colony (240-B, Peoples Colony No.1)
