Operations Engineer: Ensures that the company's manufacturing systems are adequate,
functional and conform to industry practices and senior management's specifications. They help to
improve product quality over short and long term periods. Operations engineers spend their time
"onsite" ensuring that the plant is producing the right amount of product to the correct specifications.
They also provide maintenance and troubleshooting assistance in manufacturing processes; investigates
quality defects for root causel and helps improve manufacturing system efficiency, reduce cost and train
operating staff.
Research and Development Engineer: Research and Development Engineers are predominantly
involved with creating new business opportunities for the company by researching new materials or
material formulations, conducting engineering investigations into current manufacturing technologies
and identify solutions to potential problems in bringing an idea or innovation to the market place. They
develop the idea for future plants, improving efficiency, environmental performance and even
developing new products.
Design Engineer: They create the initial blueprints and schematics for various structures,
systems, machines, or equipment and material used inside. They also determine how the process is to
work. For example, which piece of equipment is needed and how big they will be.

Sales and Marketing Engineer: Sales and Marketing Engineers are the techical glue of a technical
sale. Sometimes called 'system engineers,' 'pre-sales support,' or 'field consultants,' they are responsible
for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. They also seek
out new ways of producing existing products; articulate technology and product positioning to both
business and technical users; and identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete
customer satisfaction through all sategs of the sales process.
