EQUITEL TO MPESA CHARGES

listed the charges you will incur when transferring money from your Equity
Bank to Mpesa using Equitel. Equitel is a mobile payment and banking platform that was
launched by Equity back in 2015 which allows users to send money, borrow loans, pay
bills, check account balance and buy airtime. The maximum amount one can transfer
from Equitel to Mpesa is Kshs 35,000 per transaction and Kshs 140,000 per day.

Credit card processing fees


The average credit card processing fee per transaction is 1.3% to 3.5%. The fees
a company charges will depend on which payment company you choose
(American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa), the merchant category code
(MCC) and the type of credit card.

Interchange fees

The bank that issues your credit card receives an interchange fee on every transaction.
In the case of the Capital One Visa credit card, Capital One would receive the
interchange fee.

Interchange fees are set by each network and change every year in April and October.
The average credit card interchange fee is 1.5% to 3.3%, as you can see in the table
below.
