2. Installation procedures
(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the
power cord from the power outlet.
(2) Open the packing carton of each option and take
< Network interface card NC-P03 > out the accessory parts.

Remove the rear left cover. (Two screws) Remove the screw A shown in the illustration only
if step (3) is not executed.

<For C3850/C3350>
Remove the rear left cover. (One screw) (8) Clear the stopper and remove the tray 1.

(6) Remove the filter from the back of the main body.

(9) Open the front door and remove the left cover.

<For C3850FS> Remove the three screws fixing the exit tray.
a) Move the aligning plate of the finisher inside.
Note:
When moving the aligning plate, apply your finger
to the bottom plate of the aligning plate. For fear of
damage, do not hold onto the standing portion of
the aligning plate.

(11) Remove the shield plate. (18 screws)

(12) Remove the waste toner bottle.

b) Remove two screws and move the exit tray of


the finisher.
Note:
Do not pull the exit tray with an excessive force, as
a connector is connected.

(13) Remove four screws from the front left cover.

(14) Remove the front left cover. (17) Pass the connector of the USB cable of the net-
work interface card assy through the hole
shown in the illustration and fix the network
interface card assy to the main body. (Two sup-
plied screws)

(15) Slide the network interface card into the sup-


plied mounting plate.

(18) Attach the supplied wire saddle on the support


(16) Pass the supplied USB cable through the hole plate of the hard disk of the main body.

(19) Place the USB cable of the network interface


card assy in the three wire saddles and connect
the connector to the MFP board.

dure. (1) Plug the power cord into the power outlet and
turn ON the power switch.

4. Wireless LAN destination setting


(1)Display the Service Mode screen.
(2)Touch “System 1.”
(3)Touch “Marketing area.”
(4)Touch “Wireless LAN Destination.”
(5)Select the wireless LAN destination from the on-
screen buttons and touch “OK.”
Note:
• If the name of the area where the machine is
used is not included in the setting options for
the wireless LAN destination, but the area
belongs to the European Union, select “EU.”
• Do not select “Other” as it cannot be used in
any market.
(6) Continue to touch “Close” until the initial screen
appears.
(7) Turn OFF and ON the power switch.
Note:
When displayed the Service Mode screen, be sure
to turn off the power after exiting the Service Mode
screen and wait for 10 seconds or more before
turning on.
